Amazon doesn't make shipping cost clear

I ordered two books, to be sent separately because of the dates they were due to become available. My e-mailed confirmation from Amazon told me my "Grand Total" for both books, shipping and tax would be $47.80. I received the first one and noticed they billed my card for 37.14. I wondered why the second book to be shipped next month would only be 10.66! I went into my Amazon account to inquire and found my order summary stating my total bill would be $78.22!! I called and canceled this second book. Their answer was because I had requested one day shipping (I didn't realize it). My response is if I had requested it, why didn't their system know this when it sent my order confirmation? If that confirmation had said the 78.22 I would have gone in and canceled both. A word to the wise -- check it all before ordering anything as I will do if ordering anything from them again.
I think they should honor my first GRAND TOTAL of $47.80 for these two books and go ahead and send me the second one. I have printed out the order confirmation and order summary pages.
