Gift cards

I have purchased two amazon.com gift cards since last December and I have not been able to use either one and I can't get anywhere with customer service. I ordered one online and misplaced it. I received the confirmation number but the website would not allow me to use it-that one was for $20 or $25 dollars. The second one was purchased from an HEB grocery store in San Antonio, TX or Lytle, TX for $25 and the card would not work. Customer service would not help me resolve the situation. I am now out $45 or $50 dollars from your website and I have been a very loyal customer for years (take a look at my order history!). I have recommended your website to anyone who will listen but I am about to stop using your website completely and tell everyone I know not to shop there! I don't want to do that but I can't get my money back!
Sincerely,
Michelle

I want a credit on my account for $50.

The card bought at the store HEB, was not activated properly at the
point of sale(REGISTER)Here is what happened.
When the clerk slides the card in the activation machine, sometimes it
does not ""TAKE'''
Might still be good, but must be activated at store.
The other one you lost, so is gone, (your responsibility)
Why are you buying gift cards to use your self, just use your
debit/credit card on their site.
