I was charged 58.83 for an item Fisher Price Puppy Grows and Knows Your Name. This item is now advertised on the website for 23.99. So, I was roughly charged 2.5 times the current price. I spend a lot of money on this website, and they were unwilling to offer a price adjustment. My order number is 103-5386296-9814604. I was offered extremely poor customer service from the first level support as well as their supervisor. I was basically advised to go ahead and make the remainder of my holiday purchases somewhere else. This is extremely poor customer service for a company of this size. I should also mention that I have already canceled my amazon.com credit card and will not be making any further pruchases from your company.
At this time, I would like to have the 34.84 credited to me as the price adjustment and would like a 50.00 gift card for my inconvenience.

I purchased an item here for $64.99 (U-Dance game) and within a few weeks it was only $20.00 that is $45.00 cheaper. I called they refused to budge. I was also hung up on a few times. I returned the item and brought the item from Wally world for $20.00 with .97 cent shipping. There are so many other stores with better return policies and great customer service. I will take my money elsewhere.

I don't think you're entitled to the price adjustment, and the demand for a $50 gift card is laughable.

Amazon doesn't offer price adjustments nor do they price match. They make this pretty clear on their website. So, sorry, but I don't see why this is poor customer service. Frankly, I'm surprised you assumed they would do it.
And if you don't plan on making further purchases from Amazon, what good will a gift card do?

Does Amazon offer "price adjustments"? I've never understood the concept of buying something for a set price, and going back later to ask the merchant for the latest, lower price.
If Amazon doesn't offer such adjustments, I don't see how they caused you any inconvenience, or why they should be giving you a gift card.
If a supervisor told you to shop somewhere else, it would important to know what you said to the supervisor just before that. There must have been a reason.
Amazon is a great company. It's too bad you are giving up on them.
