PlanetFeedback Assessment
Here is a review of this company provided by PlanetFeedback.
American Express makes money even if you do leave home without it. The company is one of the world's largest travel agencies, but it is equally as well known for its charge cards and revolving credit cards. And yes, the company still issues traveler's checks and publishes such magazines as Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure through its American Express Publishing unit, while its travel agency operations have more than 2,200 locations worldwide and its Travelers Cheque Group is the world's largest issuer of traveler's checks (it also issues gift cards). But the company's charge and credit cards are its bread and butter, and they've diversified along with the rest of the firm.

Three months ago I was having problems paying in full my credit card from american express. I contact the company and went on a hardship program where my card would only be suspended and I would go on a payment plan to pay off the balance. I was assured then that my card would be reactivated to full status as soon as I paid the balance. I made these payments on time. I received a letter date Feb....

My name is Juan Garay, I have been an American express customer for quite some time and have various products. One of them is an IDC card; I live in Mexico and sometimes I pay it locally either in US Dollars or pesos.

Yesterday I tried to pay my balance and was told that they will not take ANY payment for that card in Mexico; I have to use my US account.

I did not receive any previous...

At the time I applied for this Blue Cash credit card over a year ago, I already had two American Express cards - Delta SkyMiles Options ($15K limit) and the Delta Gold card ($25K+ limit). When I was approved for the Blue Cash card, I was given a ridiculously low $2K credit limit. I originally thought this low limit was because I already had such a high limit on my other AMEX cards (I have...

You recently closed my American Express Jetblue card after I paid off the entire balance. When I called to inquire why, I was dealt with rudely was given a list of reasons that make no sense.

On the surface the reasons sound plausible. My credit isn't great, my utilization is high, and my payments are on the low side. However, of the reasons given to me, ALL OF THEM had been improving over the...

I've been a cardmember for 3 years, paid on time and recently had my utilization down low. But my membership was cancelled without any warning. When I called, I was told that my overall utilization with all other cards was a factor, and that my good history with Amex meant nothing. I was laid off but now have a great job and I still made my payments. I've been working to pay down my other...
