Our Apple Laptop is Totally Useless

I'm not really furious, I'm heartbroken, but that option was not available on "Mood Check". My Loyalty and Mood would change if I could get help.

I work in a school with IMACs from 2000 that have never crashed, never needed repairs. I bought an Apple Laptop for my husband and family over 2 years ago because of the previous wonderful experiences with Apples. I am the Information Specialist Teacher for my school and deal with Apples and PCs all day long. I would love to get a new laptop that works so I can once again tell everyone how wonderful they are.

We've had 3 bad logicboards, a bad superdrive, and the list goes on and on. Our laptop is now totally and completely dead. Recently we had it worked on again and it only worked for one day before it started crashing again. We were offered a new laptop by an Apple rep. You can check the emails we've been sending for the past month.

Our jobs will not allow us to miss work for a delivery at home. We live on a farm with a gate. FED EX will not deliver to us, instead the driver throws the boxes in the road. Complaining to FED EX does no good. Even if FED EX had not thrown our boxes in the road (we don't use them anymore because of that problem) and even if we did not have construction workers in our area stealing delivered boxes. Why can't our new laptop be shipped to the Mac Authority store in Nashville, TN where we bought the original, or even to the Apple Store at the Green Hills Mall in Nashville, TN? We could pick it up there and get our 3 year warranty at the same time.

It's been over 2 years without a reliable laptop. We spent a total of $2,821.93 for the original. We just want to get the new laptop and new 3 year warranty as promised.

So they're replacing it but they have to send if Fed Ex? Do you have a
trusted family member, friend, business (possibly a supplier for your
farm business) and could have it shipped to them instead?

I agree with Redhead. Ask to have it shipped to a friend or relative
who will be home. At least you'll know you will get it and it won't
be lost or stolen.

Apple will ship to your work, I promise they will. I had them do that
for me because I don't like having packages left outside my front
door. They were able to send me a replacement iPod when mine stopped
working.

Just ask them to do that. If they refuse, then you can come back here
and complain.

I have a great idea why don't you have it shipped to your work
address. Maybe even a Apple store that would be good .

Have it shipped to a work address or go to the Apple Store and arrange
for it to be shipped there. It can be done, it's been done before.

In your situation, I'd arrange for the laptop to be delivered to a
trusted friend or relative. But why can't they ship it to the Mac
store you mention? That seems like a great solution!

I think your request, to have it delivered to an Apple store, is
perfectly logical. I hope Apple will do that for you.

I had a similar problem with UPS dumping boxes on the main road (I
live down a side road). I began having my deliverys sent to the UPS
hub, and then I would monitor tracking and pick up the box when
delivered. As an aside, I went back to home delivery and they now
come down my road.

Can you do something similar with FedEX? Or, can you have the
computer shipped to a work address? It seems there must be some way
to work this out. Good luck.

Can't you give them your work address as a shipping address?
