IPOD-not as great as everyone thinks

I bought my mini-ipod in 2005 - and it was great!! Exactly a year to the day I bought it - the IPOD started acting up.

1. The battery. Never ever stays charged. I can plug in the Ipod to charge for 3 days- and when I disconnect from charging the battery is not even full.

2. Play time. Is about half it was. I get halfway down the battery meter - and I get a message saying that I need to recharge.
3. Every now and then - the Ipod decides not to play the songs I purchased.

SO - I finally decide to make an appointment at the Genius Desk for service for my Ipod. I was thinking "Good thing I purchased the APPLECARE package - to protect me and my product." WRONG. I get it back two days later -and they tell me that there is no problem. So now i'm stuck with an IPOD that goes caput after using it for 2 hours after I charged it for 3 days. LOVELY.

I KNOW MY IPOD. I used it EVERY DAY FOR A YEAR - I know THERE IS A PROBLEM. IPOD is not all it's cracked up to be - nor is Apple's service. It's ridiculous that I spent $250 on a product that can't even work properly a year later.

I would like to speak to a senior customer service representative and have my mini-IPOD replaced with a new one.

Thanks Mr. Freeze - I will try to do that- hopefully another charger
will be the solution to this problem.

It is possible that the problem is with the charger and not the I-Pod
itself. Unfortunately I don't think the charger is covered under the
extended service plan. I would suggest finding a friend that will let
you borrow their charger to see if that helps.
