Uverse internet account

Posted Fri June 15, 2012 5:55 pm, by Laura A. written to AT&T Uverse

I had an AT&T account that was terminated, and I hadn't sent back the Uverse router. When I called to get my account reinstated, the rep told me that the service technician would be able to use that particular router to set up my new internet account. When he arrived, however, he told me that it was considered a brand new account and a new router would be installed. He took the old router with him. Well, last month I received a call from a collection agency representing AT&T. They told me that it was for the router from my old account...the one that the technician took. Apparently, he decided NOT to turn it back in to his company. I have his name AND phone number and no one at AT&T is willing to help. Now I have a mark on my credit report for a router that I honestly turned in to an AT&T representative.

Undo the charge. That's all.
