Attention requested immediately

Purchased a $700 undermount 46-bottle wine refrigerator from Avanti in May 2010 as part of a kitchen remodel. Unit began shutting off spontaneously after TWO MONTHS of ownership. I would pull out fridge from under island, unplug, plug back in to same island socket and it would work fine again for a month or so, then shut off again. I thought it was power related until I recently moved out from under the kitchen island to a different area and plugged in only to get same result. As this is outside of the 1 year warranty, Avanti says they cannot service or replace.

Please repair obvious thermostat issue that I am sure they know exists from other customer complaints - mine can't be the only one. If mine is the only one, acknowledge that it's a $700 lemon and replace it. Stop hiding behind a short warranty period.

Why should Avanti Products contact you immediately when you did not
report your refrigerator not working 2 years ago? What happened to
cause you to NOT do this?

So after two months of ownership and encountering this problem you
wait 2 years to report it?????

Sorry you should have reporting it after the two months, not after the
two YEARS.

Considering the problems you had with your refrigerator after having
it for 2 months, why did you NOT contact the manufacturer at that
time?

I understand that you unplugged the refrigerator & then plugged it
back in & it worked fine for a month or so, but why did you not
contact the manufacturer after that considering it was NOT working
after that?

I do not understand why you want the manufacturer to stop hiding
behind a short warranty period considering that you did NOT contact
the manufacturer once you started having problems TWO YEARS ago.

It is the consumers responsibility to contact the manufacturer when
their product DOES NOT work...especially when it does not work TWO
MONTHS after buying it.

I hope you were aware of the one year warranty before calling the
manufacturer & posting this complaint on planetfeedback.

If you did not get an extended warranty, then yes, they cannot service
it or replace. THAT is what extended warranties are for.

So what did the warranty people tell you when you reported the
malfunction "after TWO MONTHS of ownership"?

After all, you've had the unit for over two years.
