The second-largest bank in the US by assets (behind Citigroup), Bank of America boasts the country's most extensive branch network, with more than 5,700 locations covering some 30 states from coast to coast. Its core services include consumer and small business banking, credit cards, investment banking and brokerage, and asset management. In 2007 Bank of America bought U.S. Trust from Charles Schwab for more than $3 billion and acquired Chicago-based LaSalle Bank from Netherlands-based ABN AMRO for some $21 billion. Also that year the company made a $2 billion investment in Countrywide Financial, and in early 2008 agreed to buy the troubled company for some $4 billion in stock. |

You are the worst Bank in the U.S. I have my mortgage in your bank and I am not happy . I cannot call and talk to a person to find out whats going on. My mortgage payments were raised $28 a month with no reasonable explanation. Your people are rude and arrogant and I am very unhappy. I f I could find a way out of doing business with you I would.

by James P. of Davenport, Iowa written to Bank of America Posted Fri March 5, 2010 4:23 pm 4 replies, Last Updated: Sat March 6, 2010 2:34 pm |

We contacted the customer service numbers on our account statement (1-888-793-6262/ 1-800-421-2110) beginning 19 Feb 10. The request was for a statement to be sent to our home address of record, advising that the loan we have with the bank is unsecured. We needed it to support efforts with closing out another financial effort that includes deadlines. Well, it is now March 5th, and we are yet to...

I have had my debit card stolen. due to my stupidity the pin number was with the card so the thief also made away with that as well. Although i am to blame for making it entirely to easy for the thief to access my account it is still fraud on their behalf. Fake checks were made using my name and money was withdrawn from my account which balance was already at zero. Now what I don’t understand is...

I have an account that became delinquent in 2003 and charged off by the bank in 2005. the bank has listed the account with equifax as date of first delinquent in 11/2003. My letter to the bank comes back as 11/2003 as the date of last payment. This is not in keeping with FCRA 623(a) or FCRA 605. I cannot seem to get the bank to uupdate the information or Equifax to acknowledge that the...

Goodwill adjustment |
by Justin B. of Louisville, Kentucky written to Bank of America Posted Tue March 2, 2010 9:05 am 4 replies, Last Updated: Tue March 2, 2010 2:50 pm |

I am writing to see whether Bank of America would consider making a goodwill adjustment to the credit reporting bureaus on my closed account. I am asking if Bank of America would remove the adverse late payments and settlement reporting from this account in reporting to the credit bureaus. I do understand this is a rather unusual request--particularly as my account fell behind upwards of 120...
