Let us make deposits please

My suggestion is regarding the ATM machines in The Crossroads mall on South Westnedge Ave. in Portage, MI.

You recently had a promotion where you signed mall employees up for accounts with the mention of convenience due to the location of the ATM machines. This is convenient, however my one concern is that they are not deposit accepting. It would be even more convenient to be able to make a deposit, such as a payroll check, right at the mall without having to go to a nearby branch on payday.

Thank you for your consideration.

Direct Deposit.

Really though, when they said "convenience" they meant access to your
money. Not necessarily full bankikng capabilities.

Banks put these little "mini-ATM's" in places to give people access to
their money (esp. in a Mall!!) without finding a full branch. Having
someone stock the full-sized machines, remove the deposits every day
and then process them costs amoney. These machines they just fill
them up and leave them alone.

So they didn't lie, exactly. It's more convenient, just not as
convenient as it could be.

I never liked depositing into ATM's unless it was a small amount. I
always preferred going in and processing it, or even better yet,
direct deposit. Does your company offer direct deposit? That's by
far the simplest method.

How odd. I never knew some ATM's do not accept deposits. Seems
counter-productive not to, IMHO.

There were ATM's that did not accept deposits. Then a month ago, I
went to a new branch of my bank and found what you describe - couldn't
make a desposit. What's the point?

My guess is that it may have something to do with paying someone to
process the deposit envelopes. At a glance you might think the same
person who does the cash could do it, but is it that simple? I hope
they consider yor suggestion - especially after soliciting your
business. Good letter and suggestion.
