Not honoring a 'switch from cable internet' rebate

I signed up for dry-dsl service and filled out a coupon for $125 back when you switch from cable internet. The coupon said nothing about having to have local phone service in order to qualify for the $125 back.

I filled out and submitted the coupon on 4/10. Now, almost two months later when i called to find out where my rebate is, i discover that they have disqualified my submission because i don't have local phone service.

I'd like them to honor the coupon that i filled out and give me the $125 rebate.

They've started offering 'dry' or 'naked' dsl where you don't have to
have a local phone service w/ them in order to get the dsl. They just
recently started offering this in my area and so i had waited until
now to switch cause the internet prices are pretty comparable and so
if i had to also have a local phone it'd be way more than cable
internet.

Maybe I am missing something here.

I have DSL, it goes through your phone line. So if you switched from
cable to DSL you will have to have a home phone line. So how did you
switch and fill out the rebate offer if you dont have home phone
service?

Are you filling out the coupon before you get the DSL?

I'm lost

I don't know about the coupon but it says on their website that this
offer is contingent upon having local phone service through AT&T (it's
not BellSouth anymore)
