The biggest consumer electronics outlet in the US is also the best -- Best Buy, that is. The company operates a chain of more than 1,170 stores in the US, Canada, and now China offering a wide variety of electronic gadgets, movies, music, computers, and appliances. In addition to selling products, the stores offer installation and maintenance services, technical support, and subscriptions for cell phone and Internet services. Covering an average of about 40,500 sq. ft., the big box stores are located in 49 states and all Canadian provinces. In addition to the Best Buy brand, the company operates under the names Magnolia Audio Video (20 stores in the US) and Future Shop (about 120 locations in Canada). |

by Rick S. of Orlando, Florida written to Best Buy Posted Thu February 2, 2012 12:00 pm 3 replies, Last Updated: Sat February 11, 2012 12:01 am |

I ordered a Laptop online and with "in-store" pickup. I was first in line at the pickup window. One couple was at the pick up window already being helped but it took 45 minutes because the couple kept asking more and more questions as well as waiting for the rest of their order to be brought to them. Meanwhile there were several Best Buy associates just standing there behind the counter doing...

Initial call to Geek Squad was on 1/10. Our 50" Samsung DLP (bought in 2008) needed to be serviced. This same day my girlfriend asked CSR when ext warranty would expire. She stated 2/8/12. She asked how we can extend the warranty. She stated that we would need to go into a Best Buy store before the expiration date to renew. If we went after the date, we would not be able to renew. Technician...

In the interest of saving time, I’m going to copy and paste an email I sent to WTOP Radio’s Call for Action program to detail what transpired at Best Buy #427 on Saturday January 14th.
-------------Begin copy/paste-------------
I’m a former retail manager for a handful of consumer electronics chains (Circuit City, Office Depot, most recently Staples) and am a huge fan of what I hear you...

I went to Best Buy with my old Macbook Pro after it suffered from some water damage. The first "Geek" at Geek Squad told me that the laptop would not even turn on and I would need to replace it. (I spent $2,400 on a new Macbook.) I paid the $100 for data transfer to DVDs. A week later, I received the DVDs and took them home to find that nothing was loading or trasferring. I had to drive back to...
