One TV, Two Prices at Best Buy

I was in best buy in Springfield OH Sunday October the 31 to buy a flat screen TV. A sales associate showed me a 52” Sony LCD TV and surround sound combo for $1499, I went back Thursday November 5 when I was told that I was told the wrong price and they would not honor that price. I had asked for the manager and was told he would not do anything to help me ether. I called 888-bestbuy for help; they called that best buy to
see if they could help, there answer was the same, the only thing the person I was talking to could do is send a report to the store manager and the regional manager. I now have a case number and no TV.

The price I was quoted was not a mistake in their flier, I was told personally form a sales associate and he had written down the prices for me and I still have that quote. I think they should honor that price. The price is not out of line because their competition has the same TV for $1292 with out the surround sound.

You should have bought the TV the day you saw it.

Why not buy the TV from the competitor and then purchase the Surround
Sound system separately? You would probably end up paying the same
and get a better quality surround system at the same time.

When do their adds change over? Ours switch every Wednesday, so if
someone came in and saw a sale price on a Saturday, it would not still
be on sale by the following Thursday.

If you have an ad ("flier") that has that price, they they either have
to honor it or show you where they posted the retraction.

I'm guessing the surround sound system costs more than $207 (price
diff between your quoted price inc. the SS and the TV only price from
the comp.).

BB does not have to honor any quoted price. It might have been
different if you had tried to buy the item that day and an issue
arose-but not a couple days later.

Had you bought the tv that day and the tv did not ring up at the price
you were qouted, then you might have a case.

Its been almost a week, and the price changed, I dont find that
peculiar at all.

In other words, you should have bought it then.

Good Day
