I was given a lap top computer as a gift. It was purchased at Best Buy in Boynton Beach, Florida.
I opened the box, put the computer on, and then started to get pop up after pop up. It was so bad that I could not use the computer at all. I called the store where it had been purchased, 2 hours earlier, and was told they could fix that problem for a $65.00 fee. My son-in-law was told at purchase, to have me bring it in if there were any start up problems. No fee was mentioned. This was a$600.00 computer.
I brought it back to the store and asked why they sold computers that needed "Fixing" right out of the box. They blamed it on the manufacturer, Dell. The sales person that sold it to my son-in-law was actually very rude to me.
They refused to fix the problem without charge. That is their policy.I got a refund for this purchase, and left.
Tell people up front that there is a pop up issue when you buy a Dell computer. Not knowing much about computers made this a huge issue for me. Give people purchasing new computers a discount on the service, and guarantee the results for a period of time.
