Directions that meant the world to me

I went to the Best Western Cairn Croft hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario for the Canada Day long weekend.
On Canada Day, there were fireworks at the falls that could be seen from Clifton Hill. After the fireworks, we made our way to the car where we sat waiting to get out of a parking lot for 20 minutes, the street was packed with people. After finally getting out of the lot, and going in the direction of the hotel, I was forced to make a detour. Because there were so many people and so many cars that night, it took me an hour to make a 4 block square.
I eventually managed to escape the mayhem, and made it to the only street that I could.
Being in a city that I didn't know after 11:00pm, I called the hotel hoping that they could give me directions back. I had pulled over so that my friend could write them down, but was told to keep going as he (Mike) talked me through it.
He told me when and where to turn, what landmark to look for and before I knew it, I was back in the comfort of my room.
Mike took a stressful situation and made it all better.
I just thought that in an industry that seems to perpetually get complaints, it might be nice to get a compliment for a change.

Jane S.,
Great letter catching Mike in action.
On the chance that the letter does not trickle down to hotel level you
might shoot a copy to the hotel in care of the General Manager.
