Bra Snafu

I ordered a bra from BiggerBras.com on Aug. 5, 2006. It was the Panache Superbra Tango II Underwire Balconette Bra which was sold for $49.99. I also paid an additional $30.00 for overnight shipping as my everyday bra had recently been put out of commission and I needed a replacement ASAP.

I received an email soon after assuring me that my order would begin processing immediately. Now I'm a reasonable girl and this was a Saturday so I assumed that "immediately" would mean Monday and I would receive my bra on Tuesday.

On Monday morning I called the customer service line, well into the business hours, to confirm the order had been received and that I should be expecting the bra the next day. I got a recording explaining that the reps were busy and to leave a message and they would call back. I left a message and did not receive a call back until the following morning when they called my fiance to verify credit card information as we had recently moved so the billing address did not match the shipping address. He was told at this time that I should expect the bra by Thursday. This did not make any sense to me so I called back to speak with the rep myself and was then informed that they had been on "spring break" (in August?) for the past 4 days and orders were backed up. She also let me know that they had "cut it short and come in early this morning to catch up." At this point I asked if my overnight shipping would be refunded as there was no indication on the website nor in the message on the customer service line that they were not open and operating. I was told that is not possible but would I like to cancel the order? I did not choose the cancel because, alas, I did need the bra.

I did not receive the bra on Thursday. By the time I got home from work on Thursday and saw that the bra had not arrived the customer service line was already closed so I called on Friday morning. The rep I spoke with repeated the excuse of spring break and the orders were backed up and assured me that my order would be shipping today and I would recieve it on Monday, a full 9 days after I placed an order with overnight shipping.

I did finally receive the bra on Monday and was extremely satisfied with it but that does not make up for the fact that it was shipped so far outside of overnight.

I don't want any refunds, I was extremely satisfied with the bra and I'll definitely be ordering in the furture, I just think that if overnight shipping is not going to be available then it shouldn't be an option when your placing an order.

This is a very good letter and I do think you are owed at least an
apology and not just an excuse. I'm glad you finally got it and were
happy with the purchase. Sounds like the type of place you have to
order way before you actually need them, with discounted shipping and
just wait. I don't think they refund shipping if they aren't the
shipper themselves since shipping is paid somewhere else but they
didn't honor the ASAP that they took the money for.

I'd want my $30 back!

The least they should do is give you a refund of the difference
between overnight shipping and regular shipping and handling.
