Going Down

Posted Tue November 6, 2007 12:00 pm, by Angela E. written to Blockbuster, Inc.

Write a Letter to this Company  |  Rate this Company

I was a devoted client of your company. I have two children and often rented movies. However, not only have you dubbed me excessive late charges which was due to inexperienced staff, but now, after you have given me a coupon for free movie rental and snacks have I again found your company to be a fraud.
I have reported your company to the Better Business Bureau, and will be seeking legal council.
It is not the money but the whole purpose of family. GET A GRIP.
Angela

Make good on your word and STOP the horrific charges of late fees when they truly do not apply.

Your seeking legal counsel for a bogus coupon that you did not get
from them to begin with because they NEVER gave these out!!!

Take heed of your own advice and get a grip!

Dear Client,

We appreciate the relationship we have with you. However, your
advances on our associate, in an attempt to have purchase fees
canceled, can't be tolerated.

We advise you to "get a grip". The purpose of business, as we
understand it, is stated in our customer agreement. You are right,
late fees do not apply. In the event you don't return your movie, we
do assess a purchase fee. If you feel this charge is horrific, we
suggest you complain to the companies that set prices for the movies.

Dub us proud to have served you.

I'm going to sue you, you trashy little ho, for misrepresenting the
good name that is "Angela." I've had four good friends named Angie in
my life, and my oldest friend is "Angela." All have been very cool
people.

You are not cool. You are a loser. We are revoking your name and
giving you the much-deserved name of Bertha.

Make the most of it. It's going to be all you have going for you.

Signed,

Angela N.

Although I hate BlockBuster, and agree w/ you on the late charges,
because of employee mistakes (it's happened to me a few times) I gotta
claim this letter as a joke. Seeking legal counsel? You have NO
case. As per your own request. GET A GRIP

The only thing you are devoted to is trying to get them to give you
freebies based on a fraudulent email that said so. Now you're telling
us you've run up tons of fees as well.

Apparently the only thing you are devoted to is not paying.

Secondly, you have no clue what you're talking about. Blockbuster
eliminated the "late fees" YEARS ago. But they do charge you if you
keep the movie out longer than a week because they assume you intend
to keep it. It's a purchase fee and it's printed on the receipt (turn
in by X date or your card will be charged Y)

Again, Personal Adult Responsbility dictates that it is YOUR PROBLEM,
not Blockbuster's, to turn your movies in on time.

Don't want a fee? Learn to be more prompt in turning in things that
don't belong to you.

Dear Blockbuster,
I have a coupon here written in crayon. I would like to redeem it for
1000 free rentals. If you dont do this I will report you and never
shop here again.

Love,
*customer*

Now doesnt that sound silly? You have a fake coupon. Why should they
honor fake coupons? I don't know why people have fun circulation these
around the internet, but they do and you have to understand that a
company cant just accept anything because the customer says so. They'd
go out of business!

On the other hand, I hope that the employee that refused the coupon
explained the false coupon ciculation in a polite way, just to clear
up what was going on. Either they didnt tell you or you just werent
listening.

late charges, due to inexperienced staff???? How about not turning
your movies in on time! Take some responsibility!

Yes, seek legal counsel. Pay a laywer all those fee's just to get a
late fee taken off and a free rental. Thats ridiculous.

Once again, someone who thinks that the BBB can actually do
something.

Blockbuster is NOT a member, so the BBB has 0 power over them.

Angela..

What part of "the coupon is a fraud" don't you understand? These
coupons were circulating the internet and they are not valid.

Legal counsel? Yeah right, you're going to pay a lawyer to pursue a
case because you didn't get some free popcorn and soda that you were
not entitled to in the first place.

Stay home and drink your Miller beer and eat your chicken, OK.

The coupon is a fraud......get over yourself. If you are making such a
bag deal about something so small, maybe you need to get a hobby.
And maybe the late fees were legitimate. Not everything is as you say
it is/
