Blockbuster certainly DOES advertise titles to be "guaranteed in
stock." Its on the in-store signage. It's on the email I get every
week.
It is a marketing strategy, like any other, to get you oommitted to
renting that title FREE when you re-visit that store instead of going
to a competitor.

Dear Moron,
There are never any new releases in stock because you
idiots never tun in your movies on time. Blockbuster has a no late fee
policy, it does NOT have a no due date policy. So a trade off for not
having to pay a late fee is not having any movies in. Also Blockbuster
does not have any guaranteed in stock promise, I don't know what video
store you are thinking of. You are a total and complete idiot. If you
are so poor that you can't pay for gas to rent a movie maybe you
should spend your time doing something like reading, it's free and it
would obviously be a benefit for a moronic simpleton like yourself.

Some simple solutions (after removing the CAPS key)
well i guess one simple solution...

Call ahead. 9 times out of 10, they can pull it aside for you, and if
they don't have it, you don't waste a trip.

And I also wonder what day of the week you are going? Tuesday is New
release day, but if you are going on a friday or saturday night, tehy
are just about guaranteed to be out of everything.
