My gf (life partner, obsession), Aleksandra, is from St. Petersburg,
Russia, so she is not into American holidays. We agreed to NOT do it.


We always celebrate International Women's Day (March 8th) so
Valentine's Day is a bit redundant.

I woke up yesterday to a gorgeous necklace with diamonds. What?! I
love it, of course, because it came from her but I had no gift for
her.

I immediately called Hardeep (I work from home most of the time
because I can take all the East Coast phone calls at 6am)(Hardeep is a
very sweet man with a big white beard & we joke that he's my
personal driver) (I don't drive, have not driven since 1986 when I
almost died in a car accident, not my fault).

Long story short, I made her cupcakes & got about 15 helium
balloons that all "sing". Didn't really want that at all.
I prefer quiet balloons.

So, in the end, I just adore my wife (& she is my wife despite the
fact that I cannot marry her legally) & her two lovely children.


I always laugh when I see "gay agenda". I think the
"gay agenda" is simply to have the same rights as any other
tax-paying citizen.

And I'm still not quite sure how this portion works. I've had a
LiveJournal for 7 years so this interface is a bit odd for me.

I lived the first half of my life so far in Arizona but because I
became a Goth/Mod in 1983 ,& the desert heat & black clothing
didn't work so well together, I moved to San Francisco in 1986.

I've lived with my gorgeous Russian girlfriend, Alex, about a year ago
& inherited a 13-year old super-precocious daughter named Dasha.
I absolutely adore them both. Unspeakably.

My mother & all maternal relatives are from Germany so I'm very
bilingual, trilingual now, with Russian.

That's probably a decent "get to know ya" start. hahaha
