Town Fair Tire Almost Killed Me and My Unborn Child

TOWN FAIR TIRE ALMOST KILLED ME!
Back in March I purchased new tires and custom rims from Town Fair in Stratford, CT for my 97 Chevy Venture. All was well until 5/27/12 when I drove over a piece of glass and blew a tire. I had the spare put on with full intention of going to have the tire repaired or replaced by Town Fair since I was still covered by warranty. On 5/29 I went to their Fairfield location to have the repair done, yet they weren't able to do it until 5/30/12 as they were backed up due to Memorial Day. I went back on 5/30 to have the replacement tire mounted, I paid the 28.51 for the valve stem & balance and drove off into the sunset. Fast forward to 6/5/12 not even a week later! I was on I-95 traveling the speed limit going from exit 27 to 25. As I approached exit 26 the car began to shake, thinking it was the road I just slowed down and kept traveling as my exit was only a few feet away. After I got off the highway made a sharp left I noticed my car began knocking. I pulled over and went to check the tire to find it wobbly with only 1 lug nut attached! Did I mention I'm 8.5 months pregnant!? I immediately called Town Fair in Fairfield and the manager (I'm assuming) Steve and one of the mechanics came to assist me or so they thought. The mechanic had a look of amazement on his face and said the lugs were over tightened/twirked and by me driving the car caused them to basically snap! Steve kindly assured me that Town Fair would cover the cost of the repair as they don't provide this service themselves (replacing 5 wheel studs). Steve said the mini van needed to be towed to the repair shop yet they didn't have a tow truck. I called my road side assistance and requested a tow. During this time I was late picking up my 8 year old from school so I had to beg my sister to leave work and grab him for me, I then needed a ride to go get another car as my van was clearly out of commission. Kindly Steve and the mechanic stayed with my car until I returned. Upon returning Steve confirmed that it was Town Fair's fault and began apologizing excessively. I mentioned I think they should throw in a free lifetime road hazard warranty on my tires. When I went to pick up the van, Steve mentioned that they noticed damage to the rim and they believe that's what caused the incident but they would still cover it. Needless to say I totally lost it, (my Dad's a retired master mechanic so I know my stuff)- how could a dent in the rim-which turned out to just be dust- cause 4 out of 5 locked lugs nuts to come off and struts to break?? This morning I called customer service and was told by Rick "ok, what do you want us to do? and "Did you bring your car back for the 25 mile re-twirking as required for all vehicles over 10 years old?" I've never heard this policy in my life! Nor did anyone mention it to me! I've been shopping at Town Fair since I was 17 and now I'm in my 30s. I requested a call from the regional manager. Only by the grace of GOD the tire didn't come off on the highway while I was going 55 and I didn't lose control of the car and roll over.
I want an apology from a higher up at Town Fair as well as better training for their employees. If you want to throw in the life time road hazard warranty for all 4 tires that would be great, especially taking into account the extreme inconvenience, stress, fear and the risk of injury to my unborn child and myself!
