VIDEO FEEDBACK: Thank You BK - The King is Clean!
by Posted Tue August 1, 2006

As my headline notes, I just want to commend the Burger King restaurant right inside the Ohio border off highway 90 (Coming from New York) for an exceptionally clean restaurant, readily available and very clean baby chairs, and terrific staff attitude.

I'm ordinarily not a huge Burger King fan but this particular experience turn around some of my negative perceptions. My kids had a wonderful, and safe, experience.

I also appreciated the presence of baby changing tables in both of the bathrooms. Clearly, someone carefully thought-through the needs of traveling families. Thanks so much.

Wow, thats great. My experience in Indiana on I-74 was literally
GROSS! Store number 9742 at Crawfordsville exit on I-74 was NASTY!
After finding the one clean table, we noticed Young Wesley, BK
Employee, solvenly drifting from table to table in his stained and
greasy black pants which hung loosely down at his crotch. He briefly
swiped the table tops, brushing some of the crumbs and spills onto the
seats, then moving on, leaving a clean swath across the top of each
table, highlighting the remaining deitris of previous table occupants.
As I watched him slink from table to table, I was sickened to see
him use the same rag for all twenty tables without rinsing, then move
to the coke machines and repeat a similar uncaring attempt at cleaning
the drinks area. ZOOM! There goes another young employee wearing his
plastic food prep gloves as he pushes out the greasy door handle, and
back again into the kitchen back to his sandwich making........I
quietly set the rest of my sandwich down, stomach churning......oh,
here comes Wesley with a broom. He now lazily pushes the paper and
fries about the floor, some goes to the walls and under the coke
machine, some gets picked up....it seems the greasy film on the floor
is destined to remain there. Time for a bathroom break.....urlp!
urghfgh! nothing different here, paper on the floor, no paper towels
in the dispenser, noticeable grime on every surface....lets get back
to the car quick! This makes McDonalds look like Disney World!

when I get time I want to listen to this. But its funny, we went out
for a quick bite the other day at BK and an old lady asked to speak to
the manager, surprise, she complimented the cleanliness of his
restaurant too!

What a Great Post!!!! Clearly Companies, even chains, have realized
that Customer Satisfaction is the pivotal part of doing business.
Cleanliness, a couple of clean high chairs, decent accomodations for
families with children...all well worth it!!!
BTW ... Kudos to Erika on the beautiful family and the great post!!!!!

I was a "live" witness to the cleanliness. I was truly impressed. I
hope the other restaurants meet the same standard.

And thanks for sharing this with us...it's not often you find a
spotless fast food restaurant, especially while traveling. Good to
know someone is doing it right!
