Window incident

I have been a long-time customer of the local Burger King. I particularly liked the summer menu of pulled pork and chicken salad with cranberries and apples.
Some time ago I spent 25 minutes in a lunchtime line waiting to get to the speaker to order a salad. When I got to the speaker the salad was unavailable, they had discontinued the pulled pork so I ordered a burger. I asked at the window if they had some kind of problem. The person at the window was enraged by my comment. Since that time I've discovered she is the Manager. I apologized for the misunderstanding but ever since she runs away when she realizes I am at the window. She has someone else help me. I find this very childish, particularly for a manager supervising teens.
Thanks for letting me tell you this. I continue to be a customer, but today I got my favorite chicken salad "with cranberries," except it had no cranberries. Discrimination perhaps?
I would like the Manager at Moberly's Burger King to not continue this harassment everytime I come through the drive thru. It is insulting.
I actually wanted to know if they had equipment problems, etc. when I asked the question. The line was unusually slow compared to normal. She gave me no time to elaborate.

Hi there - First of all, I'd like to state that there's no way that I would spend 25 minutes of my lunch time waiting in a drive through line for any type of lunch.
If you want fast food from Burger King, why don't you just park your car and go inside to order your lunch? Inside service always seems to be quicker, and if there's a problem, it can be addressed right there at the counter.
In my opinion, I think you should brown bag it from home and that way you can get what you want because you've already purchased it from either the grocery store or fresh fruit & vegetable market(including the cranberries). Plus, you would also have your entire lunchtime to do something else.
I don't think there is any type of discrimination toward you. Just move on, or perhaps go to another fast food chain in the area.
Enjoy the day.

I'm just wondering if you are making it a point to look inside the drive thru window to see if you can see the manager? I don't understand why you just don't order your food/pay for food/get food/drive away?

Why does the manager need to serve you at the window? Why does it have to be her and not just whomever is working at the window? I don't understand why you care if she leave the window and someone else serves you? As long as you get what you order, why do you care?

Perhaps the manager does not want to start an arguement, & so she has someone else serve you.
I would not want to start an arguement with a customer either.

Is that exactly what you said to them?
I ask because it can come off as being confrontational.
I mean sure I understand that it's disappointing when a restaurant runs out of something. The knee-jerk reaction might be to lash out at them for daring to have mistakes, because they should be prepared for anything to happen, even alien invasions from mars, right?
The problem however is that we have humans and not robots. Starting off on a confrontational foot - even if they are employees - does it really do anything?
And now you're upset because she doesn't want to talk to you and someone else serves you.
Ok so? You're still being served - you're just being blocked from any confrontation with her. I don't see where you have a right to specifically have HER serve you if she doesn't want to.
And discrimination? Against what? You've mentioned no discerning factors. As far as we know you're from Raxacoricofallapatorius.
Perhaps the "discrimination" is just that she doesn't want to deal with you specifically. Especially after a prior incident where you two didn't get along so well.
And even then there's no real discrimination because you're being served. You're only being blocked from contact with *her*.

No cranberries on your salad mean "discrimination against you? "Manager runs away when she realizes you are at the window?

Your letter is a good example of why it is to the posters benefit that he/she includes everything that happened regarding the complaint when contacting the company.
The person reading the complaint can only go by what is indicated in the complaint.
