Change the Name of Tendergrill Chicken Salad, Burger King

I go to BK drivethru to order lunch which includes my Tendergrill Chicken salad. That big salad, a meal on it's own, with Honey Mustard. The salad I am given is small, and labeled "Garden Salad" (but has the chicken pack) so I go inside and ask for my salad, handing them the Garden Salad.

Employee "That's our Garden Salad."
Me "I know, I ordered the Tendergrill salad."

She goes away, soon returns and hands me an even smaller bag. I look in - sandwich?? I tell her "No, I ordered a salad."

Employee "I thought you said chicken sandwich"
Me (slower) "Tendergrill Chicken Salad"

She pulls a garden salad from cooler and says "THIS is our Tendergrill Salad."

Me "No - that's a garden salad. TG is MUCH larger."
Employee "Oh, they changed that. We don't make them here anymore. And we've been getting a lot of complaints about it."

(WHY didn't she know what was wrong earlier then?)

Me "Just give me my money back."

This salad is PATHETIC. The bowl is about the same size as a side salad - AND it is divided into sections like a KFC takehome plate. There is almost NO ROOM for food in it!

When you change a product so much that it is NOT the same thing at all - and this is NOT - change it's name!

I understand products change, but bring back my salad. Please.

Excellent letter and valid complaint. Print out your letter and snail
mail to HQ. Someone pointed out, they don't accept emails.

This sounds like an incompetent minimum wage crew member. Next time
speak with the manager. They should be able to get it right.

You unfortunately reached a fast food worker who got a lobotomy. She
sounds like a total idiot.

They don't take complaints via email, just postal mail or a toll call.

If the employee really said that "We don't make them HERE anymore", I
have to wonder if she meant at that location. Is it possible this
isn't a chain wide decision, but rather a location specific decision?
Either way I think it's great that this is being brought up to
Corporate. Those salads are usually quite expensive and I would be
angry if it wasn't a hearty portion big enough to eat on its own.

It's probably that location or franchise.. by Harley Has A New Cat Fri May 1, 2009 @ 11:19 AM
