Capital One isn't #1, but it's pretty darn close. One of the top credit card issuers in the US, the company offers Visa and MasterCard plastic with a variety of annual percentage rates, credit limits, finance charges, and fees. Products range from platinum and gold cards for preferred customers to secured and unsecured cards for customers with poor or limited credit histories. The company, which boasts nearly 50 million customer accounts, also provides mortgage services, auto financing, credit insurance, and other consumer lending products. Immersing itself in the banking business, Capital One bought regional bank holding company North Fork Bancorporation in 2006. |

I have been a customer for over 10 years, and always have had problems with their website not updating my account balance. with that problem they slam me with a $35 charge every-time my funds are low. So with the past experience that i have had, i always log on to their website to make sure i have enough to spend what i am about to. this past weekend they charged me $490...

I had an credit card with Capital One for several years, and due to no longer needing a card, I decided to call and close the account. I spoke to a representative who said it would be closed in December 2009. I had then assumed it was closed as I was told. A couple months later I started receiving calls for the account stating that there was a late charge and balance due?! I dont know how this...

Why does Capital One use such a controversial spokesman like Alec Baldwin to represent them.
This guy throws temper tantrums on airplanes, curses out his daughter and is not liked by many.
Cancel his commercials and find a less offensive person to reprsent your company.

Hello my name is Estefany ,I applied for a journey card and spoke to various cr's asking questions regarding credit limit history , inquiries and paid debts. After applying i received a response 30 seconds later saying that i was denied and would find out why. I believe like many other banks the reason would most likely be credit history which is limited , delinquent debt which was paid for. I...

30 day late reporting on credit reports |
by Steven P. of Scarsdale, New York written to Capital One Financial Posted Wed December 7, 2011 7:29 pm 5 replies, Last Updated: Fri December 9, 2011 1:57 pm |

Back in Sept 2010 I was involved in a terrible accident. I was hospitalized for 2 months. Because of my hospitalization I was two weeks late on my credit card payment. I've called Capital One numerous times to see if they would in good faith remove the 30 day late payment that is showing on all of my credit reports.
I've never been late on any payments other than this one and am annoyed that...
