Capital One charged off credit card

I had a CapOne Visa that was charged off in 2003 for about $680. The account is past the Statute of Limitations and and is due to fall off my credit reports in January 2009. My financial situation has definitely turned around and would like to work out this situation with Capital One to repay the charged off amount in return for an open account and a change in the reporting of the old account to the credit bureaus from negative to a positive trade line. Would Capital One be willing to agree to something like that?

Re: Capital One charged off credit card by Dinker Posted Mon October 22, 2007 @ 8:22 PM Good luck is all I can say. I had a charged off Capital One card in 2003 with a $300 credit line. Not only are they reporting it as a $751 credit line, but have also put that it was included in bankruptcy (which of course it wasn't). No wonder people call them Crap One. They are clueless!!
