Capital One Sent Me a Bill but No Credit Card!

My name is Candace and I applied for a credit card with Capital One and had gotten approved; however, I never recieved a card. I called in and asked if the card could be resent and my case was "instantly" handled by an acct. specialist. I never spoke to him. Every time you call it automatically goes to voice mail, not to mention he never even returned my phone calls. They gave me a number to fax my information to...the fax number didn't work. I called yet again for like the 37th time and yet got no valuable information. I called again and spoke with an "manager" who via emailed and gave me a different fax number (804) 290-3500 it didnt work either. I even tried to fax the information from Office Depot. Still didn't work. Not to mention Capital One has some of the most ignorant workers I have ever talked to. One lady barely knew English, another woman kept insisting to me that my social was 12 digits long, and another woman didn't know what a fax was...I spelled it out for the woman and she replied..."sorry m'am I am going to have to transfer you to another represenitive, I do not understand." After all of that I get a statement in the mail saying I owe Capital One $50....how? I never made a purchase? I never even had a card to have had made a purchase!!!! If nothing else have some customer that represents the company and knows the information. No one knew anything.

It has a been a month and a half and I still don't have a card, not to mention Capital One is already messing up my credit saying that I am payments behind and that I owe money for a card that was never used or recieved. With that said I no longer want to do service with Capital One and would just really appreciate it if you would close my account and remove fees, charges, and false information.

You dont need credit cards anyway. I learned the hard way after
getting myself into debt buying a bunch of junk. I never remember
needing to use my credit card for an "emergency" I go strictly cash
or check card with a visa logo.

I will probably get flamed for this comment. I dont like credit card
companies. As Dave Ramsey says, "If you play with snakes, you are
going to get bit"

I believe you need to contact C1's fraud department. It sounds as if
someone else got a hold of your new credit card. Several years ago,
there was a case here in the Twin Cities where airport or U.S. mail
employees could determine by the weight of a bag of mail whether it
was loaded with credit cards being mailed to recipients. Those bags
of mail got stolen -- it was a huge deal here.

Anything can happen! So contact C1's fraud department.

I believe the term is called OUTSOURCING; your calls are answered by a
bunch of foreign call center employees who don't always have a
complete grasp of the English language.

You are better off without a credit card anyways, just get the VISA
card that is attached to your bank account and never buy anything you
can't pay for right away. Credit has a way of taking over your life.
