Orange Scent Cascade Messup

Posted Sat July 29, 2006, by Leanne . written to Cascade

Write a Letter to this Company

I bought Cascade dishwashing liquid Orange scent. When I opened the bottle it was original Cascade. No orange scent. The liquid was white and smelled like the regular. I tried the orange scent before and it was orange in color and I really liked it.

Try to watch what goes in to what container. It wasn't THAT big of a deal but I was a little annoyed. I bought orange scent fully expecting the pleasing scent and experience I had before and it was plain cascade.

Hey I like your name hehe!

I think it was a factory error, and the batch number will be on the
bottle so they can find out if the entire batch is in the wrong
bottles. I'm not sure if they will recall the batch for that or may
possibly allow the customers to exchange the product if an entire
batch got past inspection.

I think someone in the Cascade Factory probably made a boo boo along
the way. In any case, it dosen't affect the dishes whatever scent you
use....the actual idea is to get clean dishes I think. No one wants
the taste of the product to remain on their dishes anyway. They're all
about the same so whatever has a coupon or a lower price the week I
need it gets my money. Peel an Orange and put it on a gas burner (on
low) it emits this fresh citrus scent and gives you a neat diversion
watching the citrus oil squirt from the pores in the peel and burn.
But never leave it unattended. I do this when I cook fish and want to
get rid of the scent after cleaning up the kitchen and taking the
garbage out.

But you are entitled to be annoyed by scent deprivation (as
unintentional as it probably was) I do hope they send you coupons for
free citrus scent Cascade as a "thank you" for bringing it to
everyone's attention

PFB is fun and all, but may I suggest you call the company? I
guarantee you'll have your issue satisfactorily resolved in under five
minutes and a replacement coupon on the way. Just look on the back of
your bottle for the number. Good luck.

Leanne, sometimes the simplist of things can make me happy.

I always buy unscented laundry detergent for sensitive skin. On my
last trip to the supermarket, I just couldn't find any so I bought
Purex with lavendar scent. After using it for the first time, the
whole laundry room had a wonderful smell, and I couldn't stop smelling
my clothes. It was hard to believe how something so minor could make
me feel so good. I guess there's something to be said for aroma
therapy!

If the next bottle I buy mistakenly has the unscented variety inside,
I will be extremely disappointed. So, I guess what I'm trying to say
is that I understand your reason for writing, and I hope they send you
a coupon for a free bottle.

They also should pay better attention to contents.

The orange is probably just the regular soap with a spritz of orange
smelly stuff plopped into it. In your case, it seems that the special
orange was not added. It's good to let them know though :)

Hi Leanne!

Here's something I remember reading a while ago: citrus is
potentially damaging to flatware, so we're not supposed to buy lemon-
or orange-scented dishwashing detergent for our dishwashers. This was
NOT a concern for regular dishsoap for handwashing. I do believe
lemon was a bigger concern than was orange.

Just sharing. I'm tired and I've had two cocktails; I'll let someone
else do the googling. ;)

Oh, and I think your letter is fair, but I think they'll need the UPC
code or some other tracking number so they can figure out which batch
it was. Happy Planet Feedbacking.
