Our Experiance at Dorney Park in Allentown Pa
Posted Wed August 15, 2012 12:00 pm, by Sandra G. written to Cedar Fair Entertainment Company
My husband and I decided to take our grandchildren to Dorney Park on Aug.12,2012. Its been years since we were there with our own children. WOW! what a horrible experience, the parking attendent ignored us while we were asking for directions(we have a handicap sign). As we waited to purchase the tickets people were cutting in line, Bathrooms were discusting! no toilet papers! It was unsafe in the wavepool, too many people and only 4 life gard. One lifegard said "not enough staff". It was unsafe for my granchildren. Also the lounge chairs were old, dirty and falling apart. At that point we decided to go to the other side. The employee were rude and disregarded those that cut in line (unprofesional). We complained several times at the office, nothing was done! Several office employee were laughing as i complained. By the way i spent 150.00 on tickets plus food. We didnt leave right away because our 6 and 8 year old grandchildren were with us. We will never go back! WE were disappointed how Dorney Park has become.
Employees need to be more nicer, maybe take a class or two on how to speak to people, also more lifegards, its really unsafe! cleaner bathrooms. Please more security!! especially when you wait over one hour in line to get on a ride and people think its ok to cut in front of you.

My pet peeve: People who rely on the lifeguards to watch their kids (or grandkids). The lifeguards are NOT there to watch your kids. They can't watch everyone's kids all the time. YOU must watch your kids in the water, ALL. THE. TIME. The lifeguard is only there for an emergency.

No where in the U.S. should the prices of entertainment tickets be so high.
I don't pay for NAMES of places to entertain my kids. It's outrageous. I don't care if it's Disney, Universal, Sea World, football players, baseball players, etc.
In my opinion no one should command such high prices just because of a celebrity status name, and that too includes all the clothing line labels.
Get real everyone - if you don't go to these places and continue to pay the high admission prices, maybe the owners will get the hint and bring prices down. Just expressing my opinion.
