I recently relocated to Farmington, MO and had a cable and internet installation scheduled for 2/23/10. Back at the end of October 2009, Charter Communications began converging accounts to make bill paying easier for their customers. Well, not for me obviously. I received an offer in the mail that said "We want to reward your customer loyalty by offering you 6 months of Showtime, free of charge" I call the company to take advantage of this offer, I am told since I already have Showtime I cannot get this for free, but they will give me STARZ and Encore for free for 6 months.

Sales misrepresentation. In July of '09 I was quoted a price of $104.95 + tax monthly for my telephone service (unlimited long distance), my digital cable, including my DVR, and 5mg internet service.
