Your company is charging me a wire maintenance fee of 4.99. I know there is no such thing as a wire maintenance fee.

I want free cable for 2 months.

Wow..so you're willing to take a chance that your cable will work
fine? Trust me, it's worth having the fee on the account. We get a lot
of storms here, and more often that not, the cable suffers.

So you tell me: would you rather pay 300-400 to rewire from the pole
to the house or 4.99 and have it done at no charge?

If you don't want it, request to have it removed.

I have Charter and I pay a wire maintenence fee. Of course, I am
going to keep paying it while I am having all the trouble with my
cable internet!!!

However, you can opt to remove it, just call and ask them. It is
almost like an insurance policy - although at $5 a month, you are
paying a lot. Mine is $3 I believe.

Anyways, they will pull new runs, fix wire and connections in the
house, etc all for free. Without it, you would have to pay for
anything not related to the incoming cable to to the outer house
connection.
