Two weeks ago on Thursday July 5 I came home from work to find an orange cable running through my side and back yard to my neighbors yard. I called Charter and they confirmed that service had just been installed to them. I informed the CSR that the techs had trespassed onto my property to do that and I was very angry. She promised to have someone call me by Monday.
Monday came, no call. I called back and was told Tuesday. Tuesday came, no call. Wednesday I called the cops and was told that unless I spoke directly to the tech that it was not trespassing and that there was no easement going through my back yard so, even though they were not legally trespassing since they hadn't been warned, they were on my property without good cause. I called Charter again and was told someone would call. Again. No one called.
On Friday I filed a complaint with the BBB and NC Dept of Justice. Finally got a call from a Jonas 864 297 2302 at Charter who told me no digging would be allowed on my property. I got home from work today, Wednesday July 18 and Charter had dug the trench and buried the cable smack through the middle of my tiny back yard. I now can not plant the tree I had wanted to grow this fall because I might damage the cable. This is invasion of my privacy and total disregard for my rights as a home owner to say nothing of the sheer nerve it takes to ignore a warning from a state department of justice.
Remove the cable from my property.
