Channel Blocking

Recently you upgraded the navigation on your digital receivers. This new menu has a cleaner and more useful flow, but it also has a change I think needs to be reviewed. Previously when channel surfing (using channel up or down) it would ignore channels I didn't subscribe to, if I put the channel in directly it would show me how I could get this service. Now when surfing it shows all channels in the Charter lineup, including purchasing information. I can see how this is useful to many customers and a opportunity for you to offer new services. The issue I have with it is that it shows child inappropriate titling like "Dripping Wet Euro MLF's Horny and alone" 2 channels away from "Toy Story 3". I'm not asking that you censor content, but give me a menu option that allows me to easily filter the channels I dont subscribe to. To manage it now I have to navigate a difficult menu option for each and every channel, for each TV in my home.

I understand this is a useful marketing change for your company and other customers, all I'm asking is a menu option that allows me to skip over channels I dont subscribe, just like before.
Sincerely,
Steve Cunningham

have you asked your cable provider about how to block those channels?

i believe blocking the channel might help prevent accidentally viewing
titles such as that.

You have a great point. In our area, Charter has moved ION and Oxygen
and Lifetime, because those channels had been one channel off from
kid-friendly fare like Family, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network(before
Adult Swim kicks in).

On the other hand, when I input my exact channel number, I don't know
what other delights I might be missing on those channels I don't get.
So I will not be persuaded to upgrade so I can get Oxygen and Lifetime
on my non-HD televisions.

It's a marketing tool: Let's show him/her what they're missing, and
they'll be willing to shell out an extra 10 bucks a month. In your
case, it's just not working, and it's even offending.
