JPMorgan Chase was born with a silver spoon in its mouth but hasn't let that stop it. The #3 financial services firm in the US (behind Citigroup and Bank of America) expanded nationwide with the acquisition of BANK ONE and now has some 3,000 branches and growing. The bank is keen on its retail operations and is also among the nation's top mortgage lenders, automobile loan writers, and credit card issuers. Formed in 2001 by the blockbuster merger of retail banking behemoth Chase Manhattan and venerable investment bank J.P. Morgan, JPMorgan Chase boasts formidable investment banking and asset management operations as well. Wunderkind BANK ONE chief Jamie Dimon took the reins of JPMorgan Chase at the end of 2005. |

MakeMyHomeAffordable...Obama's plan to help! |
by Cynthia A. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa written to Chase Bank Posted Mon March 15, 2010 3:16 pm 2 replies, Last Updated: Tue March 16, 2010 4:55 pm |

I submitted an application to Washington Mutual for Obama's MakeMyHomeAffordable.com program. I met all of the criteria from the various websites and yet I was denied because my situation/hardship was not permanent. I lost my job about a year ago and was watching Oprah and Suzie Orman on TV talking about Obama's plan and the website and how this is supposed to help people avoid foreclosure due to...

Misinformation About Fees At Chevy Chase Bank |
by jon j. of ridgefield, Connecticut written to Chase Bank Posted Thu February 18, 2010 12:00 pm 7 replies, Last Updated: Tue March 2, 2010 2:46 pm |

These days even reputable banks have hidden fees. This catches the consumer by surprise because so many of us don't expect any fees for routine banking services such as using a debit card. When I paid my daughters college tuition online (in the UK), I was slammed with a $494.00 fee. I was surprised to find that Chase charged me last year too, and the fee was even higher, $571.00. All this after...

I am writing to ask you for a measure of goodwill as Chase has an excellent history of strong customer service. I have one fully paid and closed account that was charged off by Chase. In August of 2008 my husband lost his job of 25 years. Due to extreme depression from that loss and from our current economy he has not been able to find another job. My husband was the primary breadwinner and...

Chase changed due date on the card to an earlier date, my payment was two days late, first time ever late on this card. Chase did not mail the statement was not mailed within 21 days of due date as required by law. Customer service refused to remove the fee and said they thought I was lying about not receiving timely statement. They tried to blame the weather and the US postal service (they are...

Reduction In Annual Percentage Rate |

I have been a Chase BP VISA card holder (#XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX) for approximately four years. I believe that I have maintained that account in a satisfactory manner. However, my annual percentage rate (APR)is 29.99%. This is an extremely high APR and it makes it extremely difficult to pay down a $4600 balance.
I would like for Chase bank to consider lowering the APR on this card to 9.99% for...
