Towing Fee from Chevron

My car was parked at chevron and was towed. I understand why it was towed but there wasn't any signs stating that I couldn't park there though. I paid for my car to be released which was 120.00. When I get in my car There is a hand written letter inside from the manager at the chevron telling me to come to the store to pay 50.00 for a towing fee. Do they have the right to charge me for my car being towed also?
