Great staff = Great Experience at Chili's!

On Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 around 6:00 p.m., my husband, son and I decided to have dinner at your North Olmsted (Country Club Blvd) location. We expected that on a Friday night right at dinner time that we'd have to wait, but were pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away.

Our waitress was great. She took our orders quickly and brought the drinks quickly. About 15 minutes after our orders were placed, a young man (whose name I unfortunately did not get) with a blue shirt and light brown hair came up and asked us how everything was so far. I can't recall if he had a name badge on or not as the whole exchange happened so fast that I never thought to look.

We were kind of shocked since the food hadn't even arrived yet and we had no complaint of our waitress, so we replied that everything was fine. He then informed us that there had been a kitchen mishap with our son's meal and his corn dog got a little overdone. He assured us that they were preparing another one for him and that they would bring the rest of his meal with our food momentarily and the corn dog would be out as soon as it was done.

I couldn't help but think that was incredibly nice of them. Most people would have just served it and waited for the customer to complain. This manager went out of his way to let us know what was going on and to fix a problem before we were even aware of it.

Granted it was only a corn dog, but I just wanted to say BRAVO to this staff. Their professionalism and courtesy went a long way with us and I would gladly go back to your restaurant again! I hope you will let them know that we appreciate the great service and they are doing a super job.

Great letter! And how cool of them to keep you informed as to what
was going on and explain what was happening. It makes it so much
easier to just enjoy the time you're there.

There's a Red Lobster here that does that: "We felt that the cook
overcooked your fish a little bit, so we're bringing that out to you,
along with another, better-cooked fish, and you can have one to take
home."

Good service rocks! I'm glad you let them know!
