AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless) is in new hands. Following AT&T's merger with BellSouth in late 2006, the #1 wireless voice and data carrier in the US (which overtook Verizon Wireless in 2004 when former owners BellSouth and SBC Communications combined assets and acquired then-rival AT&T Wireless) is now solely owned by AT&T. SBC became AT&T Inc. in 2005 after its purchase of AT&T Corp. (Cingular previously operated as a 60/40 joint venture between AT&T and BellSouth.) In 2007 AT&T commenced its rebranding initiative (with the tagline "Cingular is now the new AT&T"). AT&T Mobility has more than 62 million subscribers. |

I am writing to let you know that I am done with AT&T and to explain why.
Tomorrow I will call and cancel my home phone service with AT&T. Tomorrow I will contact Verizon and inquire about their services for my mobile needs. Tomorrow I will call Clear and ask about my broadband needs.
A month ago I found a very excellent deal through Amazon that would allow me to buy the Samsung...

I've been waiting on the new iPhone 5 to come out for sometime now. So, when pre-orders came out I was excited and placed a pre-order for a new iPhone 5 on AT&Ts web site. I did this around 9AM the day of pre-orders. I choose to do this on AT&T's web site because it said it would be shipped on September 21, 2012 and Apple's web site had a later shipping date.
I place the order and get...

Data plan added without consent and with no data being used on that line |

I have been a loyal ATT customer for many years. I have three lines on my account. I recieved an email today stating that a data plan had been added without my consent to the line we use strictly for phone calls (its basically a back up line for us) simply because its a Blackjack and considered a "smart phone". We have used that same exact phone on that line since 2010. During time I...

On Saturday April 7th, I added a second iPhone to my account for my girlfriend, after 2 hours in the store, I was finally informed by the salesman Ryan that he couldn't find an iPhone instore but that it was available at the Tucson, AZ store (126 miles away) or I could go see his friend at the Happy Valley Phoenix store (5 miles away), so I went to Best Buy to get the phone. At Best Buy the...
