AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless) is in new hands. Following AT&T's merger with BellSouth in late 2006, the #1 wireless voice and data carrier in the US (which overtook Verizon Wireless in 2004 when former owners BellSouth and SBC Communications combined assets and acquired then-rival AT&T Wireless) is now solely owned by AT&T. SBC became AT&T Inc. in 2005 after its purchase of AT&T Corp. (Cingular previously operated as a 60/40 joint venture between AT&T and BellSouth.) In 2007 AT&T commenced its rebranding initiative (with the tagline "Cingular is now the new AT&T"). AT&T Mobility has more than 62 million subscribers. |

I called customer service on 10.28.2009 asking about my cancellation fees since I was going to switch to T-Mobile due to their new unlimited plans. I do not use unlimited minutes, but the price is too good to pass.
I gave the details to the rep Melissa Russell who then placed me on hold and came back with a solution and a way for me to stay with ATT.
She lowered my plan to the lowest...

I've beeen an AT&T/Cingular customer since I've had a wireless phone (about 10 years). When I signed my last contract I purchased 2 Blackberry's. At the time of the purchase, the option to purchase insurance on the phones was not there. Low and behold, my phone started having issues last month, after a few phone calls to customer service and a couple of visits to a store, my phone was still...

Mr. Sigman:
Allow me get straight to the point.
1. Why do I get slapped with international charge at the tone of $2.50 a minute when people call, while I don't answer, with my AT&T phone while I travel internationally? And why does that charge extend to the time caller leave me voicemail messages (i.e. caller leave a 2 -minute VM, which I never retrieve, and I get hit with $5 charge)? ...

There is a closed in electrical unit outside of my working office that has been put up by Cingular Wireless. It has been there for a few years but this past year a sign has been posted outside the area stating...Caution: Beyond this point you are entering an area where radio frequency emmissions may exceed the FCC Occupational Exposure Limits. The unit right up against the building and my desk...
