I think it's time that wireless customers start refusing to accept
these two year contracts. Does anyone realize that our country is the
only one that they do this to. In China, Japan and other developed
countries, they buy their phone, any phone they want, pick their
provider, then go with it. They also do not pay for text messages.
It only costs the wireless companies about a penny for every text
message, yet they charge .20, if you don't have a plan. That's a
2000% profit! If you don't believe me, go to today's (11-1-09)
MSN.com and read the piece on cellphone companies and how they are
cheating the American public.

I agree with the other posters - - it sounds like you signed an
agreement - - in fact I know you did because you can't get an air card
on a month to month basis. I just looked on the Cingular website
under Data Connect services and they all require a two year contract
plus Cingular voice services and at the bottom of the page there are
tons of other terms and conditions and additional charges for various
services.

It does appear that at least a portion of what you were billed is an
early termination fee, and I'm wondering how you used the data
services. I'm thinking that perhaps since you didn't understand that
you were entering into a two year agreement, that you may also not
have understood all the various fees for additional services not
included in your monthly fee. Did you by any chance use this device
for international communications as many times this can really add up
in terms of cost.

You need to rewrite this, perhaps with someone's help if English is
not your first language.

From what I can gather, you ordered a wireless card but only used it
for two months. I don't know of any carrier that does wireless cards
on a month to month basis so it looks like you were charged an Early
Termination Fee. That would be stated in the papers you signed when
you got the card. Again, if you have trouble reading English, you
might want, in the future, have someone read paperwork for you before
you sign it.

If I could understand a word of this... I would offer you advice...
ugh...

It sounds like you signed a contract. Once you sign you are required
to follow through with what you promised unless you want to pay the
cancellation fees. It sounds as if you don't have a valid
complaint...
