I purchased a computer last summer because it came with all these extra's plus rebate's that I did'nt entirely receive. And I purchased a protection plan that I thought would help if my computer break's down, but it was for if my screen get's broke and for battery replacement.
That computer(compaq) is a piece of crap I've been having trouble with it since I've had it and when they told me my plan doesn't cover fixing my computer I wanted my money back. I filled out the paper work for the refund (12-6-07).I got a letter a couple of week's later saying they could'nt put my money back on the bank card which I used (because I closed that account)but said they will mail out a check. I've been waiting for almost 4-month's,spoke to I do'nt know how many people. Called the 1-800 Circuit City phone#,called the store where the purchase was made and 800 "The City" phone # and no one will let me speak to a supervisor or manager. Each person give's me the run around and they talk as if they know what their talking about. It's only a couple of dollar's that's being refunded to me, but their acting as if it's million's.

GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!!!

I know that Circuit City is trying their best to improve their
customer service customer service. Try and send an e-mail explaining
your situation to consumer_affairs@circuitcity.com; I work with CC,
and I know they should respond to you pretty quickly. Hopefully they
can solve your problem. Good luck.

then why all the hostility and rage?

You knew the card you purchased it on was closed, so why didn't you
make them aware of that up front, rather than waiting for them to find
it out on their own (which took weeks) and then complaining that they
are slow in refunding your money?

I hate to say this to you, but your being an uneducated consumer is
not their fault. And as far as the defective computer - why aren't
you this angry at Compaq for manufacturing it? Did you even do any
research before you bought it? Or did you just jum on it because it
was cheap and you thought you were getting a bargain?

Truth be told - if it seems too good to be true, it is.
