Credit Operations Department

I’m writing you today regarding my recent application for a Citibank credit card; The Citibank Forward Student Credit Card.

I was turned down for this credit card, with the reason that I have a delinquent credit obligation either paid or unpaid on my credit history and will be taken off my history in 2013. This delinquent was from a medical bill back in 2006 that was sent to collection, was last updated in 2010 and again will be taken off my history as of 2013.

I am a very responsible person and I would like to ask that you please reconsider this application. First off I have a 100% on my payment history which is five years old; (I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE). Also my FICO credit score is in good standing 679. Secondly I have a few other cards with other companies that are all in excellent standing, for instants, my newest which is Capital One's Journey Student card. Being a college student I really enjoy my Capital One Journey card, but really like the competitive edge and rewards that Citibank forward card offers. With being a student with my credit score and decent, reliable history I hope you please review my application again and reconsider me for the Citibank Forward Student Credit Card. I would really appreciate the opportunity to become a part of the Citibank family.

" by PepperElf Posted Wed July 18, 2012 @ 2:30 PM You can ask them to reconsider but remember they are not obliged to pretend that it's 2013 and that the marks aren't visible. I was a college student back in the 1980's, & I had a credit card. I rarely used it. I only had one credit card. Reply
