Morning, just wanted to let you know, on this fine Christmas morning, that the customer service department at Citibank is worthless.
Hard enough trying to deal with be being in the work force for the past 40+ years, have the company you have been loyal to be bought out & closed,
and now, for the first time, collect unemployment benefits.
On 12/4 of this year I put in a transfer of funds from my Citibank account into my bank to cover a mortgage payment with about $180 extra for Christmas.
The transfer didn’t go through, the money is sitting in pending, no use to anybody for another, what I have been told, another 45 to 90 days until they figure out what they did wrong & put the money back into my Citibank account.
Talking to customer service reps is a waste of time, they know nothing on how to resolve a consumer problem, obviously no training & have a total lack of empathy.
I have been in customer service my entire working career & I heard from them just about every “not my problem” response there is, even had the worst come back in response to question there is, “corporate policy”.
I’m lucky that I found enough money to cover the mortgage payment & only had to pay for two over draft fees at my bank.
Just wanted to let you know what some of us are dealing with.
Thank you & have a good one
Frank L
