Credit Card " Further Processing Required"

Posted Wed May 16, 2012 8:09 pm, by Jennifer S. written to Citigroup, Inc.

Write a Letter to this Company

I keep getting " your approved" for Citi Financial now One Main, yet never went into the branch for the $4000 loan. So I apply for a credit card through Citi online and get a "need further processing", which we all know is a denial. I don't understand. I have good income, just paid off 5 of my 8 credit cards and my credit depending on who they pull from is 654, no lates and only 1 neg collection which is not mine and I am fighting as well as suing the company for violation of FTC rules. Completely disgusted. It's like a crap shoot getting a credit card because one person with worse credit will get approved over another, just depends on the luck of the pull..Really sad!!

They need to reconsider based on , not only the fact that I have paid 5 of my 8 credit cards off within the last 30 days, but I also have no lates on any of my credit cards,ever... Not to mention I have increased my score by 30 points in 30 days, that should say something for my credit worthiness. I just want a decent credit card limit, like the $4000 for the personal loan they approved me on,but I never took. I was approved for a Toyota Prius brand new at a 5.8% (72 month loan) based on a 690 credit score.

OK, credit reports don't work that way. I can't see why people don't
get that just because you made an immediate and exact action that your
credit report just immediately reflects that.

Sure, it would be nice if it did, but the truth is, JUST paying off
something that has a history behind it means very little to a
potential creditor. They want to see how you've done with those
credit lines (EIGHT cards???) since you opened them. That means if
there were ANY blemishes while the accounts were open (and I am
trusting that all 8 are not stil currently open) you will continue to
get turned down now.

They really don't care about your income or your new auto loan or your
690 credit score. Those things are more like "tie breakers" when they
are trying to decide whether to extend you credit or not. They care
most about how you have handled those 8 (REALLY???) credit cards in
the past because that is more than likely how you will handle your
relationship with them in the future.

It's not always about the credit score. It could be that you have too
much available credit and that's considered a risk. Really 654 isn't
that great...a little less than average. You may get a nice jump
after your cards report as zero balance.

I received the same message and it was simply that I recently moved, I
did receive the new cc.

My dh's score is over 780 and he was declined due to lack of use on
his current lines. You just won't know until you receive the letter.

Good Luck.
