Commerce plus broadcasting equals Comcast. The firm's cable division has more than 23 million subscribers and is the largest in the US (well ahead of #2 Time Warner Cable). Comcast Cable brings in 95% of revenues and offers cable TV, Internet, and digital phone services. Comcast also has programming interests such as VERSUS (formerly the Outdoor Life Network), and it has majority stakes in E! Entertainment Television and Comcast SportsNet. It partially owns Philadelphia's pro sports teams, the 76ers and the Flyers. Comcast joined the Sony-led consortium that bought MGM in 2005, investing $300 million. One-third of Comcast is controlled by CEO Brian Roberts, son of founder and former chairman Ralph Roberts. |

I moved into to my apartment on October 1st, 2009. At that time, I purchased a new Magnavox LCD TV with built in digital tuner. I was able to receive the public access channels with no problem. On October 12th, 2009, I had Comcast come in and install High Definition Cable System into my apartment. 30 days later, I canceled the services due to a lack of customer support from Comcast. On...

Comcast has increased the modem rent and cable service protection fee, Modem(fully depreciated) rent has been increased to almost 60% more. The Oct'09 statement from comcast shows the Modem that i have been using for more than 3 years has increased to $5 from $3.
Also the service protection fee is been increased from $0.99 to $1.45. This is total rip off for the comcast customers.

Comcast continues to raise their rates even in this difficult economy. For basic cable TV and high speed internet (6 Mbps DL), they are charging me $107.31 per month which is too high. I have been with them since 2002. It appears that they don't care about customer retention because they routinely give their new customers great introductory rates while crapping all over their current customers....

Comcast came to my house to install service. The guy saw a HD DVR box in my house and asked whats that. My wife told him that it was a box from another account and that we own it so it stays here(its my sons, who got charged for it after they sent his account to collections; he since then paid it off). Throughout the install which took like 2 hours he some how got his grubby little hands on the...
