Commerce plus broadcasting equals Comcast. The firm's cable division has more than 23 million subscribers and is the largest in the US (well ahead of #2 Time Warner Cable). Comcast Cable brings in 95% of revenues and offers cable TV, Internet, and digital phone services. Comcast also has programming interests such as VERSUS (formerly the Outdoor Life Network), and it has majority stakes in E! Entertainment Television and Comcast SportsNet. It partially owns Philadelphia's pro sports teams, the 76ers and the Flyers. Comcast joined the Sony-led consortium that bought MGM in 2005, investing $300 million. One-third of Comcast is controlled by CEO Brian Roberts, son of founder and former chairman Ralph Roberts. |

I am a new customer and I can not get anyone out to set up my phone or cable. The tech was late, and then never showed up the day of the appointment. I was then told it would be escalated and someone from dispatch would call right away. several hours later dispatch called and told me it was too late for to have someone come out, but she would call me first thing the next day. She never called...

Short sighted decision regarding battery back ups for bundled voice customers |
by . of , written to Comcast Corporation Posted Wed May 8, 2013 12:00 pm 1 replies, Last Updated: Fri May 10, 2013 1:18 pm |

I have bundled voice and data service and Comcast recommended I upgrade my Modem. I accepted the offer and they sent one with no battery back up. Which means that when the power is out in an emergency my phone will not work. This is not part of the "bundled" service that I purchased. In February, Comcast formed a special division focused on selling batteries back ups to people and then lure...

HDTV Recorder box on the fritz. Ordered another and was told that UPS would deliver next Wednesday. When it didn't arrive I called customer support and was told it would be a couple of more weeks before they could deliver and was told that they had no way to cancel the order as it was in UPS's hands. Spoke with someone who was almost incomprehensible because of an undetermined accent so had to...

Wild Goose Chase to get answers! |

After the first year of service, my bill rose drastically. I called a few times to discuss how I could arrange my service to get what we need at a different price and the cost did not even meet me half way. I chose to disconnect and go with a different provider. I called, requested a payoff of the account and a disconnect date. I paid the remaining balance and expected service to be...

I was given an initial appointment date and time for an install. I was given a call from customer service near the time of the install to inform me that the person was NOT coming. The service person didn't have the necessary equipment to get me setup. I had to make another appointment. This time, I was informed the hardwire from the pole to my home was NOT there??? Comcast setup my service...
