On 1/18/06 my boyfriend and I went to Walmart to pick up a car seat. We purchased the Cosco Scenera-Touriva 5-Point Convertible Car Seat. When we tryed installing the seat into the back of his car, we read the manual and realized he doesn't have anchor hooks to attach the seat to. I know my car doesn't have this either. We were just dissapointed about this because it was the best quality and also the best priced one we've seen in just about any store we went to.
I'm not mad, I don't expect a refund or freebies. I would just like you to state needing anchor hooks on your boxes. It was just a hassle for us. Thank you.

You should NOT use a locking clip if you are installing your car seat with the lap-only belt: http://www.carseatsite.com/lockingclips.htm
If you are still having problems with this seat, try posting your problem at the BabyCenter.com car seat safety board. There are lots of certified car seat technicians there who can help you find a solution. http://boards.babycenter.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=bcus9421

The anchor hooks are not required. They are for additional safety. The car seat will buckle in, you just need to reread the manual more carefully to see how to feed the seat belt through.

I don't know this particular model, but I believe all child car seats can be installed using standard (lap) seat belts. Most can use lap/shoulder belts (although you will need a clip, which is typically included, for safety). New car seats can also, optionally, be installed using LATCH if your car has it.
I'd be VERY surprised that any car seat would REQUIRE LATCH.
Are you sure of this? I checked the description @ walmart.com and it says that it's certified for airplane use. That being the case, it HAS to work with seat belts, since planes don't have LATCH anchors.
Re-read the manual. It'll how you how to install without LATCH.
