After being burglarized in the Costco parking lot, the assistant manager said they would install video surveillance cameras. We drove to this Costco and found that they have not installed an cameras even though they've had plenty of time to do so. We don't feel safe at Costco until this equipment has been installed. We observed that both Sam's Club and Wal-mart has video surveillance and security guards. Costco continues to show gross negligence, since these burglaries occurred to others before us and will continue.

As the assistance manager promised, install the video surveillance. Otherwise we will cancel our membership and give our business to Sam's Club.

Costco did not burglarize you. A criminal did. Re-focus your
blame-game on the person that committed the crime. Fine, give your
business to Sams Club. Their mega-million dollar CEO will applaud you
for making payments on his mega-million dollar jet, while he screws
over his employees.

No - they made it easier though by CB Mumford Tue June 21, 2011 @ 1:00 AM

You're comparing a retail store to a NASA compound? And you wonder why they don't have the same security setup? by PepperElf Tue June 21, 2011 @ 3:04 PM

is "plenty of time" to go through the channels a large corporation
does for the order to even be approved, let alone a surveillance
system sourced, contractors lined up, and the work to be done. But I
am somewhat realistic.

I have cameras at my retail store. They really act as a deterrent if

Costco's parking lot is pretty big, the ones I have seen.

Even if your car was in view, which sometimes they are not. Its not
likely they could make a face or even a license plate.

Mine can zoom and tilt and all of that too. But once its recorded you
cant go back and pan back in and zoom on something else.

If you have a wide view, its really not worth much.

Good Day
