CULLIGAN WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS ARE THIRD RATE

Posted Fri November 10, 2006 2:11 pm, by Sally F. written to Culligan Water Technologies, Inc.

Write a Letter to this Company

In June of 2003 I was convinced to purchase an "AquaSensor Gold" system and RO system from Culligan. Going on their reputation I spent $2600.00 hundred dollars on it. In August of 2003 I questioned the use of 3 bags of salt a week and only two people in the house. The whole system had to be replaced because it was a piece of junk. In 2004 I had them out because the resin tank was leaking water all over the garage floor, an O ring was damaged and had to be replaced. Their equipment is second class to say the least. Today they had to come out again because of leaking again from the resin tank. Another O ring replacement and a $99.00 bill to go with it for a .50 piece of rubber. Their prices are totally outrageous. I had the filters replaced in the RO system and it cost $153.00 and they want me to do them every year. What kind of a company is this? They are way over rated and by the letters I've read on here I'm not the only one not satisfied. They sell inferior products. This whole system is only 3 years old and I've them out 6 times for various reasons and repairs. I would not advise ANYONE to waste their money or time with this company. They make their products to last only a short time so you have to keep calling them back out for service calls and then they add insult to injury by charging a ridicules price for their labor, which by the way, took him less than 20 min. to complete. STAY AWAY FROM CULLIGAN

Be more realistic in your service call pricing. Stand behing your inferior products with lower service call charges. Paying $99.00 to replace an inferior O ring is absolutely price gouging because you know people have no choice. I will never buy another culligan product.

Actually Sally, any service call for $99 is rather common place these
days. Their time is worth money too. I'm not aware of many service
people that will make house calls for much less than this. If you
feel it is easy enough to diagnose and replace, you may consider
keeping some handy.

Best of luck.
