I Paid, You Refuse to Deliver
On August 1st I ordered your bridal gown catalog from your website and paid the $3 shipping and handling fee. It was promptly charged to my credit card. However I have received NOTHING. No catalog. Annoyed, I went to your website to contact customer service and discovered you have absolutely no way for a customer to do so! In my opinion this is very very bad customer service.
Please send my catalog ASAP! If you are going to demand money for your catalog the least you could do is actually send it out and send it promptly! Time is something most brides can not afford to waste! Thank you.

My family also experienced HORRIBLE service at David's Bridal.
My mother and I drove over 2 hrs in the snow to visit my sister who is preparing for her wedding in June. We had an appointment at David's in Grand Rappids, MI at 1:30. We were there for all of 45 minutes when the 'lady' who was helping my sister told her she would need to make another appointment to return and try on more dresses. My sister told her that we traveled a long way and were expecting to find a dress today. The attendent was very rude to my sister and insisted we needed to make another appointment. We were looking at $1k dresses and were prepared to order that day - our attendent clearly did not want to help us.
About an hour into the appointment when I learned of this, I went to the front desk and was told that appointments usually last an hr to an hr and a half and that our attendant was probably just tired and needed a break. Now the store had only been open for 2 hours - and if you need a break - GO TAKE IT!! You don't make a customer cry becasue you want them to leave after all they did to arrange this shopping trip with guests from out of town.
I voiced my dissatisfaction to the front desk then went back and sat quietly to see if anything would be done. My sister was trying a new dress much different from the other styles she had tried previously - and she really liked it. So much that it was her new #1 pick. The attendant then REFUSED to show her any similar dresses and said she would have to make another appointment.
I want David's Bridal to know without any uncertainty at all - that my sister would have purchased the dress she liked if not for the attendant. She kept telling us that she loved it - but she looked so miserable and unhappy - we didnt see that light or that smile that we had seen with some of her other dresses at all. So we insisted she hold off on her decision and left after 2 hours total of being there. She told us in the car that she really did love the dress, was just so upset at the service she was trying not to cry. At this point we are going to try another shop and I seriously doubt she will return to David's.
Having been in the service industry for a long time I can understand that people have a bad day - but this was just terrible customer service all around. Even after I voiced my dissatisfaction to the front desk - not once did anyone else come to check on us or follow up on the complaint. You know the kicker? The store wasn't even busy! There were many attendants who didnt have customers who just kept walking by or chatting with their co-workers.
Weddings are stressful enogugh - if the staff at David's is too busy to show common courtesy and be KIND to their brides - we will find another place to spend our money.
This is supposed to be a happy time in a woman's life - where she builds good memories with her family and friends. Dress shopping is a part of that. When we left - my sister was so upset that we wasted all of this time and money on this trip to shop with her and had such a horrible experience.

Sorry to hear about all of your messes. I have fortunately only had positive experiences with DB. I'll admit there was one time where I didn't receive much help, but I was also just a walk-in and there were already large parties there.
I was supposed to be in a wedding in 2006, bought my dress at the South Bend, IN store, and then the wedding fell through. Well, the receipts say, "NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND," but a year later I went wedding gown shopping for myself, and figured I would try to return the bridesmaid gown anyways. I didn't go through any hassle at all, and they gave me store credit. I'd had an appointment scheduled, and I got right in. The girl who helped me was wonderful and funny. She offered tips, but didn't push me into anything. She also stayed and worked with me after her shift was through because I was still deciding. And honestly, though this may have annoyed some brides, I wasn't bothered when she excused herself to help another young girl try on a dress or two who had come by herself with no appointment made. I honestly found that very considerate of her. The sales lady gave me a $50 off coupon too- she said they were only allowed a certain number of those coupons each month and they were to be given out using discretion.
Not to be snooty, but maybe it has to do with customers' attitudes?

On February 26th 2009 I didn't order my dresses but I ordered my ring pillows, my book, my flower baskets, and my pen from David's Bridal in Orem Utah. Well they said it would be here around April 20th. I went in on April 27th and they said to give them another week and they should be here. So I call today May 7th, Now I am told that they will not be here til the end of May and my wedding is the begining of June. The manager of the store proceeds to tell me that even though I ordered my stuff early there were people that ordered after whos weddiong was sooner so I was put on the back burner. Well when I ordered my things I asked the girl, "These will be here the end of April right because we are making the aprons for my servers and we want them to match" Well needless to say I paid $175.00 for stuff that I need for my wedding and it wont be done. Thank god I didn't order my dresses from there, they probably wouldnt be done. Funny the little dress shop where I did order my dresses from (my dress, 3 brides maids dresses, and 4 flower girls dresses) all were done the begining of April and I oredered everything the same day from each store. I am not a spoiled brat or bridezilla I am a 30 year old single mom who works for a living and I earn my money but when you are ripped off it doesnt matter if you are spoiled or not companies have an obligation and if they cannot meet that obligation they need to shut down or get new people.

I'm having problems with a David's Bridal in HAgerstown, Md. and I called their corporate office and my call was returned the next day and the problem is being taken care of. Nancy, the girl I spoke with was very helpful.The corporate doesn't know what their stores are doing until you let them know.

I agree that David's Bridal does not deliver. And, I have not even used them. I have not had a chance to spend any money at their store. My mother and I were in the store looking at dresses. They hound you when you come in and leave you hanging. I asked if I could try on some dresses that I had chosen. One of the girls (that work for $7.50, cuz there are no other jobs in town, that Farrah previously mentioned), said that she would get someone to help me try them on. We waited, and waited, no one came to help. So, we left to look at another store. As we were going out of the door, mom said this place doesn't feel right, it is just weird. We went to the next store. I found my perfect dress for $1000 on the rack at a small business. All four bridesmaids live in other towns. I sent 2 of them to another David's Bridal that was closer. They still had to drive 35 miles. I had set an appt. for them a week earlier. I was told the whole day was open. My 2 bridesmaids arrived. The sales person said, that she had to hurry and had to eat before a bridal party came in. My friends could not find anything. No one was there to help them. I am not picky, I said any style in the canary color. I do not expect anything for free, just some common courtesy. My mother has a small clothing a gift store in a town. So we understand people do like things for free. However, this was NEVER the case. They left, went to a department store called and asked if they could buy one there. I said sure. (I am NOT a bridezilla, and I am laid back.) None of the dresses needed to be matching anyway. I would rather spend money somewhere else. I would think as a manager, owner or someone would care about the type of service they provide. I don't get it. I was planning to coordinate my whole wedding thru them. And, it is scam for people win a free trip, just to sell cheap cookware. I don't mind people selling cookware, just not in the way that they try to sell it and promote them. I did look it up on line before I decided to go. Who would give anything away for free? There is always a catch.
And I have not spent any money with them. They refuse to take my money. And that is ok with me.

I recently recieved a phone call from an outside vendor of David's Bridal. The lady told me I had one a free vacation. I don't EVER sign up for any of these fake things so I sat there and wondered how in the world they got my information. The only thing I could think of was that I had seen an advertisement for DB online about a free wedding dress drawing. So I signed up to have my name put in it. Two weeks later is when I recieved this phone call. The lady said I had one a three day two night stay in a variety of locations all over the US and in the Bahamas. She gave me a confirmation number and said I had to attend this presentation where they would urge you to buy things there but you were not required to do so to get your vacation package. You only had to sit through the presentation. So I was like ok there's not harm in sitting through it and checking into the situation. So my fiance and I went. It was a 90 minute presentation and I'll admit the guy named Tommy was very good at his job. He was Asian I think and the other guy was black. They were very friendly as we sat through the presentation where they were trying to sell dishes and cookware through Royal Prestige or American Prestige. These dishes were thousands of dollars. Again they were very friendly during the presentation but when it was done and you sat down to talk to them about the vacation package and you turned down the dishes they were very rude and pushy. They gave us the package but were very rude and tried forcing us to buy dishes. They told us that we were unable to buy these dishes at this price after that night, that we MUST get them right then. We left without the dishes. We are going to ask a travel agent about the trip because we still think it is fake. It's not worth the hassle of even taking that trip. When we got back to our hotel room that night we researched these people and found nothing but bad information about them. They rip people off and the trip supposedly is a fake or is a terrible experience. Also we realized that the only people who were at this presentation were young people. Why? Probably because they assume young people won't research this and will be naive and just buy things because they make it look easy to use. Also, the people who got the phone calls about this free trip were the women. Why? Probably because they think it is the women who jump and say "come on babe, why not?" It's free! No it's a ridiculous scam. So don't sign up for anything through DB because they sell your information and take advantage of people. Go to Google and type in Royal Prestige Scam or Ripoff..you'll see all kinds of reports about it. And it all starts with David's Bridal! Most of these people who did order these dishes never saw them or ended up paying way more in interest then what they were told they would be paying..so don't be naive ladies! If you do go to a presentation after reading this just make sure you go and show them up and ruin the presentation by telling everyone that it is a scam! Hope this helps some people!

You know what you BRIDEZILLA's , you ALL want everything for NOTHING, are spoiled brats who somehow think they are "entitled" to only the best and you expect only the best service and WASTE the consultants time by not having any idea of what style gown you want. Your appointments are only to be one and a half hours in length as there are other customers waiting and the consultants also need time to go eat lunch, I bet you all get a lunch where you work because its the law. Each and every one of you who has a complaint NEEDS to come try and work at David's Bridal for at least a month. NONE of you would survive...IMAGINE putting up with yourselves multiple times a day while being paid $7.50 per hour and only if you are lucky and have really sweet brides only then will you earn commission.....at most the bridal consultants at David's Bridal average about $9/hr, how many of you with College Degree;s are willing to work for those wages because there are NO other jobs in your town?!!!! Instead of being rude, obnoxious and unthankful you are lucky that David's Bridal even exists and offers the selection that it does. My sister worked for them for a total of three months when she was getting married and came home crying everyday because people like you were so rude. Luckilly she holds a Master's Degree and it was only temporary after a layoff for her and now she is employed full time again and makes well over six figures a year instead of putting up with your pathetic BS as a bunch of spoiled brats. As I said NONE of you would survive as a wedding consultant. Next time you go into David's try to have a little compassion for those who are working there to assist you with your wedding plans. By the way there is a place to send complaints to Customer Service for legitimate complaints. Hello people......ALL bridal shops are always updating styles every three months on average so it is not uncommon for a gown or color to be discontinued. As for Bridal Gowns on average if they are a close cut gown they do run two sizes too small. Now I do agree their alterations costs are OUTRAGEOUS....my sister wouldn't even have hers done there when she worked for them. She found a seamstress who charged her 65% less than David's....don't let them fool you on that one.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from David's and I am sorry I did. My maid of honor ordered a 12 and when she was getting alterations done, the seamstress (not affiliated with David's and much cheaper) noticed that another BM's dress was the exact same measurements...but SHE ORDERED A 10. When I called to find out if they could correct the error, I was put on hold 3x, disconnected once, and hung up on. She said she couldn't order another dress until THEY measured my MOH in the store (that we have been to for 2 unnecessary trips already). She also told me it takes 6 weeks to get the dress in and we only have 5 weeks til the wedding now. She didn't even offer to have it rushed. I told her I would get it taken care of through the seamstress (who is going to put extra material in the dress). What a waste of money and time. Did I mention she then hung up on me? Stay away from David's. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN. And I will make sure none of my friends do either. I hope they go out of business.

Here are somethings you should know before you buy anything from David's Bridal. As a formal employee here are some tips before buying your dress.
They will try and sell you the dress off of the floor if you want a new dress tell them you refuse to buy the dress on the floor and will walk out if you do not get a new one. Now in order to make sure that your dress in new when it comes in tell them to leave it in the bag that it comes in. All of the dresses come vaccume packed in its own package. Some stores will tell you that they ordered you a new one but in fact when you leave the store they will take the one off of the floor and put in back in the receiving room and then tell the receiver to call you on the date the sales associate gave you. They will tell you to pick up your mdse. as soon as it comes in you do not have to pick up your mdse. at that time some stores will tell you that if you don't pick it up they will send it back. They do not send back mdse. that has been paid for there is no where to send it back to if the mdse. is never picked up it goes in a box and sits in the store forever. They tell you that all sales are final but if your dress is still in the store they have to return your money to you because you have never taken it out of the store. and once you take it out of the store you have five days to return it. If the store gives you any problems ask them for the customer service number and don't even bother with the managers because they are told to tell you that all sales are final. and once you try on a dress the person that helps you is to sell you everything that you tried on because they have sales goals on every piece of mdse in that store. If they do not make commission they are paid 7.50 an hour. They are also told to call you all the time to come baack in to try on more dresses. I left this company because I was tired of not being up front with the customer. also the alterations dept. will up the prices on your alterations in order to make sales goals. so to all of those bridesmaids out there who are not sure if the wedding is going to happen wait until one month before the wedding to pick up your dress that way if the wedding is called off and the store still had your mdse. you can get your money back again make sure you call the home office because they will not do it at the store.

I went to David's Bridal about a week ago. This was my first time in the store and probably my last. I had an appointment scheduled to try on wedding dresses. I was told someone would be helping me the whole time we were there. First of all, I didn't like their dresses anyways, but I was open to trying on some of the ones I didn't. The woman that was helping me probably spent a total of 30 minutes with me out of the 2 hours I had blocked off for myself and my sisters who are bridesmaids. I did not feel as if I was taken care of at all! She spent more time with another young lady that was set on buying a dress there than she did with me. Almost with the attitude of "If she doesn't know what she wants, I'm not going to help her."
To top it all off, we found out that alterations were going to be outrageous! $120 for a hem alone! The last bridal shop we went to had only a $60 hem charge and it was a designer store! I was not in any way treated like the princess that every bride wants to be treated as when she walks into a bridal shop. I would discourage everyone I know from getting a dress at David's Bridal! They don't care about you! Just your money!
Oh, one more thing, I also noticed as did many others on this site that David's Bridal has no place to sent a complaint. Probably because they started getting so many.

They are the worst. I bought my daughter's bridesmaid dress which we were told in the store to buy size 4. The dress was 130.00. The alteration cost us 178.00. Don't buy anything there. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint.

I went to David's bridal because I have out of state bridesmaids, one of whom is a plus size. Kudos to them for carrying a full range of sizes. However.....
I was never called as promised when bridesmaids and moms dresses arrived at the stores (they say this is because there's no way to check on items ordered from other stores... ahem... i BOUGHT the dresses at the other stores and I still don't earn a call? Of course they were all under my name.... but no one could ever find them in the system till they looked under tha bridesmaid's name.
When they ordered my future mother-in-law's top and skirt they wrote the wrong item number and ordered her 2 skirts instead....also never called when it arrived. Also, they completely guessed at her size and refused to order the size she knew she wore (so when the 2 skirts arrived, one was too big and one was too small. they let her re-order the size she wanted, which ultimately fit.)
My maid of honor never heard about her dress (nor did I), I called 12 weeks after it was ordered and was told that it failed the "quality check" at the store and had to be re-ordered and would be in 6 more weeks. The same woman now corrected herself and said that my maid of honor came in and bought one off the rack (I just spoke to my MOH and she indeed did not go to the store). THen they said they had a different one in for her from the floor and she should come in to pick it up, and they were sorry for the month delay and yes she could still have alterations done there. Alas, when sent back to the alterations department she was told no way was there an available appointment for alterations (Wedding date 8 weeks away).
I bought my wedding dress off the rack there for $300 and haven't had problems with it, but I just dropped it off for alterations so we'll see how it turns out.
Overall, they fundamentally lack centralized communication, and errors all take 8 weeks to discover or resolve. Alterations departments across the country have been extremely rude. Seeing as how this is their BUSINESS they need to get their act together.

This is actually a recollection of a very good experience with David's Bridal that i just had a few days ago. My wedding is in september and i wanted to start looking for my dress. I went to a few bridal boutiques, smaller stores. I had absolutely no help from anyone. Both of the stores were empty and there weren't any associates to help. After about 15 minutes, my sister went to go look for someone. Even then, the lady was extremely rude to us and offered no help. A warning, do not go to Ana's Bridal Boutique in East Providence. I then decided to try David's Bridal. From the moment i walked in, 2 associates asked me if i needed any help. I was helped by a woman named Holly who was extremely nice and caring. She patiently waited for me to try on six different dresses and told me honestly what dresses i looked good in. After much discussion, i decided to go with a beautiful gown at only $900, a tiara, a veil ,and my undergarments. I received 10% off the gown and 15% off the tiara and veil. I left there extremely satisfied. I have absolutely nothing to say but good things about David's Bridal. I will be going back to purchase my wedding party's attire as well. They have excellent customer service at the warwick, rhode island store.

We just recently had picked out a dress and all the goodies to go with it. Like a normal wedding we were going to have help from the parents of the bride, well lets just say one thing led to the next and we don't have the money that we thought we were going to have. We decided that maybe a compromise could be in order, we keep the dress and take back the other expensive extras. NOT! they said absolutely no way will they refund even a penny, only that they could put the money towards more and equally as expensive other crap from their store. We hadn't even gone to pick up the dress yet so there is no way that she would have even worn the damned thing! It seems that would be the point of their no returns policy. Well, lets just say we are stuck and have been screwed by David's Bridal!! STAY AWAY!!!

To everyone that is going to purchase a wedding gown or any other formal wear, STAY AWAY FROM DAVIDS BRIDAL! I purchased my wedding gown and flower girl gown from a Davids Bridal and have nothing but problems. I picked up my gown, purchased a bag for $10.00 to keep it in. I opened the bag at home, not at the store which was a big mistake, just to find that the dress was not in good condition. I called them up right of way and the woman who answered the phone was apologetic and assured me there would be no problems when I get a chance to exchange it. She assured me that she documented our conversation in the computer to avoid any problems. I ordered my flower girl dress. When it finally came in, I brought it home, just to find a stain on it. Now I am getting aggravated. I called and they assured me that there would be no problem getting a new one. I bring that dress in and the manager accused me of getting an orange stain on the dress that looked like a foundation stain, which I dont where makeup. She was very nasty and ordered me a new dress. I brought my dress back just to get the nice manager. She apologized for all of my problems and said she would order me a new dress. I told her that my wedding is coming up to soon to order a new dress and that I would take a dress of the rack that was in good condition. She said no, I will order you a new dress and it will come the first week of October. Mind you, My wedding is October 22, 2006. I expressed my concern about having enough time for the alterations. Again, I was assured we would have plenty of time to get everything done. Well my dress came in today and they called me. I had them transfer me to alterations. I explained the situation with the alteration manager. She was very rude. You have to come in this Monday, no exceptions. I wanted to come in on October 1 ,2006 because I work and my flower girl is in school on weekdays. She said there was absolutely no way she could alter my dress in that little amount of time and the manager would have never told me that she could. So now I have to find someone else to alter my gown and my flower girl gown. When I searched there website for contacting there home office, there is no phone number and no email address. They probably have too many problems to deal with and dont care to hear about them. So avoid headaches and go somewhere that cares about customer service!!!!

I don't understand why they charge you for a catalog that's free. Also, I used to work for the company, and unfortunately, the complaints are true. You might get lucky ang get someone who is professional, such as myself, but that's rare. You truly don't know what goes on, on the inside, until you work for the company.
I am a Certified Wedding Specialist and could not! refer anyone to David's Bridal. WIth David's Bridal, it's not just about the service, it's about the quality of the product also. For those who have experienced no problems, consider yourself luckky. For others, as a Consultant, I can only apologize. For those thinking of purchasing your gown from any David's Bridal, do your research first. Your wedding is the most important time of your life. Why risk it.
As for your catalog, contact the corporate office and file a complaint. But to end the confusion, I would file a complaint with your bank, or credit card company. You can't be charged for something you didn't receive. Your credit card company will go after David's Bridal.
Also, from being on the inside, it is true, David's Bridal is known for having a very poor customer service rating. And poor ratings for resolving the issues.

Hi all..
It's August 31st now and guess what? Still NO catalog from David's. They stole $3 from me. I guess it could have been worse..I've heard enough horror stories about them. Oh well. I found my dream gown at another bridal salon-and for a great price!

promptly went out of business and shipped her gown back to the vendor...without telling her. They waited and waited for it. They live three hours away, so it wasn't as if they could keep checking in the store. They ended up getting a gown off the rack in a local store but never saw their deposit.
Take everyone's advice and run away from this place.

Thanks for everyone's comments. To S. Brown, guess what? I still haven't received my catalog. I have no way of going to one of their stores to pick up a free catalog-the nearest one is 2hrs away. I wanted to check out their catalog before deciding if the drive was worth it. Judging from the responses here and on some wedding sites I'm on, I probably won't go and just use their catalog for ideas.
That said, why should it take any company nearly a month to simply stick a catalog in the mail? I've ordered a ton of wedding related catalogs and all of them, except David's, shipped their catalogs out within 48hrs and I got them in about 7 days. Taking 3 weeks to simply send out a catalog is bad business. So is not having an easily located "Contact Us" button on their website.

Disclaimer: I haven't read any other responses.
Having said that, David's Bridal is, generally, a very bad retailer. I'd respectfully suggest that you go to other (non-chain) stores and you'll probably get better service.
$3 isn't so bad -- a bridal magazine probably runs $60$10 these days!

I've never dealt with this company, so I won't join the "STAY AWAY" posters.
I will, however, state that any company that charges $3 just to send you its catalog is probably one I'd avoid as much as possible.

Not to say that your complaint isn't valid but RUN from this company. You've gotten a tast of how they do business. PLEASE listen to the advice that's already been posted. Planning a wedding is hard enough--regardless of the number of guests, whether it's formal or whatever. I went low-key at my own, Eddie Bauer outlet dress, wildflowers and a pig roast, and even my mom shoved a giant cup of beer (local brew--mmmmm) in my hand and told me to get lost while they set up. Stress city--just the whole family thing, the desire to have everyone have a good time. Feh. Don't add your dress to the list of stressors. You're supposed to feel great on your wedding day--and not unhappy with what you're wearing.
So, please consider yourself lucky that you're only out $3. I have heard *nothing* but horrible things about the way they do business. Seriously, no hyperbole. I had a friend who was screwed out of plenty of dough--she didn't have much to start with but figured that if she wanted bridesmaids the least she could do is pick up the tab for the dresses--and she got NOTHING from David's. Literally.
No dresses, no one to contact who was worth a damn--just a mess. So, she had to break it to us (bridesmaid and MOH) that she couldn't help us out (we were totally understanding--I mean she was great to us--no bridezilla) becasue she just didn't have the cash. Not a problem--I mean how many brides pay for the dresses in the first place????
So, we went to a local place, found some really reasonably priced dresses (it was after prom and there were some pretty dresses on sale--some were actually classy enough for an adult to wear) that had no butt bows or made us look like giant, shiny Hershey's kisses and were able to have them tailored locally--properly. It really was worth spending what amounted to about $30 extra bucks for the service.
I really hope you have a great wedding but now you know one vendor you want to avoid.

but you do deserve exactly what you're asking for...seen too many brides on newsclips dealing with fly by night companies that close down with no warning...leaving these people with dashed hopes and little or no remedy....and it always make me mad to see good people being hurt at a very special time of their lives...so people trust a chain to deliver... and asking for a catalogue and not getting it after being charged should raise a red flag...this is pathetic.

STOP!!! STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!! Do not...and I repeat...DO NOT...do business with David's Bridal!!!!!
If you want to save yourself a LOT of time and money and hassle find some other place to buy what you need for your wedding.
I have heard NOTHING but bad things about David's Bridal. Yes they have pretty commericals but its a whole other story once you are dealing with them. And it isnt a local issue. The stories come from all over the map.
I was a floral designer for 14 years. So besides the internet I heard a lot of horror stories about them just from my line of work.
DONT DO IT!
That being said...I dont understand why you said they REFUSE to deliver. Just because it hasnt shown up yet doesnt mean it wont.
I ordered a shirt from an online company once. It was supposed to be here in two weeks. More than a month later it hadnt shown. I didnt think it was such a big deal because it is a small company and they are technically a book company and they had just had a new and very popular book come out. So I knew they were busy and probably overwhelmed at the time. After a month I finally sent them an email asking if they had sent it yet because I hadnt received it and if they hadnt when it might be coming. They were more upset about it than I was. They had sent it a few days after I ordered it and it obviously got lost in the mail. They were very apologetic and they sent another right away. I had it in a few days. Now..I understand this isnt exactly what your letter is about but my point is...just because you didnt get it...doesnt mean they didnt send it or that they wont.

why didnt yoou just go to David's to get a FREE copy of these catalogs... there are a tons of them in the store..
and for the other posters..
yes there have been horror stories about Davids but you know what,, there are horror stories about ALLL bridal shops....thats because the brides expect all the vendors to bow down and kiss their behinds and treat them like they are gold...well it doesnt happen if a bride goes in with this attitude to begin with... I bought my gown and my BMs all bought their dresses from David's... i bought my dress off the rack and had absolutly NO problems with my concultant... my BM dresses were in within 2 weeks..and they fit perfectly.... no i did not have my alterations done at Davids only because they were too expensive.. if you go on wws dot the knot dot com, you will read the horror stories about ALL bridal shops..

Do yourself a HUGE favor and deal with a local bridal shop. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and grief. Another thing you may find is that David's stuff isn't monetarily that much cheaper and the service you get will be so much better.

Look up Davids Bridal in PF. I've read about really huge problems with this company.

This is a big sign of things to come. I didn't use David's Bridal when I got married but several of my friends did. Trust me when I tell you that this will not be the only letter you write them if you decide to order from them. I not only seen first hand the horrible customer service, bad dress fittings, and late arrival of dresses. I have also heard NUMEROUS horror stories.
A wedding is a stessful enough event and time in your life. I know how appealing this store is especially if you are working with a small budget. But, if there is any way you can find a dress at a different store, I would go with it. Just some friendly unsolicited advice. Congrats on your upcoming nuptuals BTW.

No one has refused to deliver anything - - David's Bridal website clearly states "catalog will ship within 2 to 3 weeks", so let's do the math - - you ordered it on August 1st and three weeks from then was last Tuesday, 8/22 and today, the date of your complaint claiming bad customer service, is 8/24.
And you're correct - - time is something most brides cannot afford to waste, so that is why planning ahead and allowing extra time is so important.
