Dell Photo Printer 720 cartridge refund

I have had a number of bad experiences with Dell Computers. This latest is the final straw. I have 4 Dell printers, 3 if them are identical printers used at various locations. My laptop computer crashed and I purchased a new computer. Unfortunately, the Dell printers are not compatible with my new computer. They can not offer me a new driver to download to allow my printers to function.
I had purchased and still have a brand new- unopened- Dell cartridge for one of the printers. Since I can not use these printers, obviously I can not use the cartridge. All I wanted to do is return the cartridge for a refund. Dell has refused to refund me the cost of the cartridge because I no longer have the invoice and can not prove when it was purchased. They claim to offer customer service, however, they only thing they want to do with customers is take their money. They do not offer any customer service at all. They could have at least offered me credit towards another purchase.
Than they asked me if I wanted to purchase a different printer from Dell that IS compatable. Why would I make any purchase from Dell if they can not treat my business with any kind of consideration.
DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES FROM DELL.....THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT GIVE YOU ANY KIND OF SERVICE.

I simply want a refund for my unopened printer cartridge. A large company like Dell can certainly show good faith by making a small refund.

Unfortunately, that is the problem with using older printers from any
manufacturer. Many have not released drivers compatible with new
operating systems like Windows 7. It was the same when Windows Vista
came out. I was working at Staples and many people rushed out to buy
the new version and found out later that printers, scanners, and other
devices they owned would not work.

As for the refund of the printer cartridge, good luck. Retail stores
will not even take it back without a receipt. Ink also has an
expiration date on the package. Dell might be worried that the ink
cartridge is outdated and unsellable.
