SMALLER CANDY BAR/MONITOR

I ordered a 19 inch Dell monitor to replace my existing 19 inch Dell monitor. I expected an exact replacement but, to my surprise, it was smaller on the vertical by one inch.
It's like the five cent candy bur, the price is the same but the candy bar gets smaller.

Bill L.,

Did the box state the vertical size?

I youtubed the question and found several videos that suggest you take
the screen off, flip it over and check the code for size.

Might be an oversight or a way for them to save a few bucks.

Stop back and let us know.

Did you buy a widescreen ? If you did the vertical might be a bit
smaller, but the width would be more.

Also depending on how old your 19" is the newer one might take up less
space but have the same dimensions.

Look at the old monitor did it have an inch or so around the edges
that was never used (always black)
