Re: Order Number: 982302148

To whom it may concern:

I purchased this tower system which was advertised as coming with dual monitors. The dual monitors were the sole reason I purchased it. Upon receipt, each monitor came with a VGA cable and a DVI cable. However, the tower only has one VGA port, and no DVI ports. I was slightly miffed at how to attach the second monitor.
I proceeded to chat with a Dell representative to see what I was missing. The session ID for the chat is 51084445. First, I was informed that I need to order a new video/graphics card. I thought that was ridiculous. Then I was told that I should have requested an upgraded card when I configured the PC. This is absurd as well. Any reasonable person would look at the system I purchased and expect it to function with dual monitors right out of the box.
Lastly, the representative told me I can order an adapter to get the second monitor to work. Again, that should not be necessary for a system that was advertised as coming with dual monitors.
I am now seriously considering just returning the whole system due to my frustration with Dell's misleading process.

Provide me with the ability to run dual monitors, as the system was advertised; either via whatever graphics card would accommodate that, or whatever adapter[s] I need.

Sincerely,

Aaron

You can buy a splitter to use both monitors, but there are
limitations. If you video card is not setup to do dual monitors it
probably wont be able to handle it.

I kind of agree with below, except if they sell a system with dual
monitors it should be able to handle the dual monitors without having
to upgrade anything.

Reading specs is important, but dont sell someone a USB keyboard if
the PC has no USB slots.

i know when i look at computers online the sites always state what the
stats are and what the computers have.

This includes how many outputs the computer has and what type.

It sounds like you may have clicked "buy" without actually reading the
stats. which puts the burden to fix on the customer and not the
company.
