This is my sixth computer I have purchased from Dell Computers. I spent $3200.00 and ever since it arrived I have had problems. Dell had to replace one of the hard drives, the hard drive they sent me didn't have all of the programs on it so they had to send me back up software disc. Because of problems with the second hard drive they had to wipe (format) the hard drive clean. Because of the number of problems I have had with the computer Dell technicians used up all of my Dell Stage downloads so now I can't download those programs. I continue to have problems and have called tech support at least twenty times.

Recently I lost all of my quicken (financial program) data and had to load the data from a back up. Internet explorer keeps closing on me, etc. I recently called customer support and they told me to call tech support, but gave me the wrong case number. After spending ten minutes explaining my problem we got disconnected. I had previously given the tech my phone number in case we got disconnected, but he never called back

Unfortunately, when I was have so many problems with my computer I had the ability to send it back since it was so new. The tech and his supervisor talked me into keeping the computer and working with support further. They also gave me $125.00 for all of my troubles (note I had to call Dell approx three times to get them to send me the money). I would like Dell to send me another computer or new hard drive as this was has given me nothing but problems. My service tag number is

Losing data from Quicken or IE closing doesnt mean a bad hard drive.

Could be a ton of issues. I always look software issue before
hardware. Try using Firefox and see if it has any issues. Backup and
reinstall Quicken and see if that helps.

Run a defrag on the harddrive and see if there are any bad sectors.
IT wouldnt hurt to also run an antivirus scan as well. Install a
malware detector and see if you have anything malicious.
